Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch practice their lines for the McDonald’s commercial in a hilarious clip

Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch sat down to practice their lines rehearsing for a McDonald’s ad in a hilarious clip.

The married couple, who tied the knot in 2011, are mostly inseparable in their social lives, and this is the same in their professional lives as well, as they turned gangsters for a Paddy Power advert last week.

On Tuesday, the couple sat down in their living room to read the script for their latest deal with the fast-food chain.

Model Abbey, 37, told her ex-footballer husband Peter, 42: “So, Pete, the McDonalds guys are on their way to film that DoubleUp content.”

‘Want to have a quick little practice with me?’ he asks, and Pete insists, ‘I don’t need to practice, I’m a pro at this. I do this regularly now.

Abbey tells him, ‘No, Pete, let’s practice a bit to get it right.’ This is the first line from him: “Hi, I’m Peter Crouch and I’m with Abbey Clancy and I’m here to tell you how he can double your rewards points with orders on the McDonald’s app.”

Instead of his Liverpool accent, he adopts a southern English one that makes Pete sneer, and he replies, “Is that supposed to be my voice you’re doing there?”

He repeats the lines, but she stops him dead and tells him to do it in his “normal” voice, but he puts on a funny tone to Abbey’s surprise.

Peter hands it back to his wife and puts on his Scouse accent, and she scowles playfully at him from across the room.

“Actually, it’s pretty good to be fair,” he admits, before reaching the gate to begin the actual filming of his McDonald’s ad.

McDonald’s is offering customers double MyMcDonald’s Rewards points for the next three weeks, exclusively through the McDonald’s app from Monday, February 27 through Sunday, March 5.

Customers can now ‘Double’ their purchases and earn double points on iconic menu items to make every moment even more rewarding.

It comes after Abbey and Peter joined a host of stars for a “Gangs of London”-inspired Paddy Power advert ahead of the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival.

The couple, who have been married for 12 years and share four children, exuded confidence as they showed off their acting chops in the hysterical commercial.

Along with EastEnders’ Shaun Williamson, they took on Irish star Colm Meaney, poking fun at the Ireland-Great Britain rivalry.

Model Abbey looked effortlessly chic as she and former footballer Peter donned chic winter ensembles.

Slipping over a long tailored beige coat, she completed the look with a plaid hat and leather gloves.

The Gangs of London actor Colm, 69, stepped off a bus full of fellow Irish racers, including RTE racing expert and ex-jockey Jane Mangan, when he came face to face with ‘the opposition ‘ led by Peter.

‘Hey hey. I didn’t think you guys would show up this year,” smiled Peter, the former England star.

With Colm, who previously starred in the Paddy Power prequel advert, snarling, “Everybody knows Cheltenham is Ireland’s patch.”

Then Shaun, like his ill-fated soap opera character Barry, declared: You’ve been punching above your weight for too long.

Only for the beautiful Abbey to cheekily joke that she’s been saying the same thing about her husband Peter for years.

Insults are then thrown back and forth with Peter reminding his enemies of Ireland’s failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and Shaun as ‘Barry’ claiming St Patrick was Welsh.

Only for one of the Irish gang to yell back: ‘At least it wasn’t English!’

However, things are taken too far when Barry roars at his opponents: ‘Tayto munchers!’.

Silencing everyone into a shocked silence, an incredulous Colm replied, ‘We’re just having a little fun!’

The awkward exchange is quickly brushed aside, and when Crouch is embarrassed, he insists on apologizing.
