Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to join West Ham from Man United in £15m deal as Red Devils free up funds to seal double Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui swoop from Bayern Munich

Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to seal his move to West Ham in the coming days. Post Sport understands.

The defender must pass a medical before signing for the London Stadium, with the total package reportedly worth £15million.

His impending departure has freed up funds for United to sign both Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

Wan-Bissaka has one year left on his contract at United, but the club may be willing to compensate him for the reduction in his salary at West Ham.

Initially, personal terms did appear to be an issue, but negotiations have progressed rapidly in recent days, bringing the defender’s five-year stay at Old Trafford to an end.

He was injured in United’s pre-season friendly defeat to Liverpool and is therefore not in the squad for today’s Community Shield.

Wan-Bissaka made 190 first-team appearances for the Red Devils and scored two goals after joining from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50million.

United have moved quickly to sign Mazraoui as his replacement.
