Aaron Taylor-Johnson reveals he didn’t drink alcohol for TWO YEARS while filming Kraven the Hunter in order to obtain his very ripped physique

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has revealed he gave up alcohol for two years while filming new movie Kraven the Hunter.

The actor, 34, plays the lead role Kraven in the new Marvel film, the latest installment of Spiderman’s Spider-verse that will follow the superhero’s nemesis.

But to get the curvy body he proudly shows off in the film, Aaron had to follow a very strict workout regimen and diet plan.

He said Monday evening during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel: ‘We have been training for this for six months and many special nutrition plans. I had a great trainer.

‘It was quite a strict diet, I couldn’t eat any of the good stuff for two years: pizza, pasta and no alcohol while I was making this film.

‘I didn’t drink a drop of alcohol for two years when I made this. After filming was done, it was beautiful. I had a whole pizza all to myself and had a delicious draft beer and it was ice cold and it was the best thing I have ever tasted.

‘Soon I looked like a balloon because my stomach wasn’t used to it!’

Aaron looked handsome as ever in a leather biker jacket as he stepped out to LA for the talk show on Monday.

He wore his stylish jacket over a black wool V-neck sweater.

He completed his look with black bootcut jeans and a leather belt with a thick gold buckle.

For accessories, Aaron kept it simple with black leather Chelsea boots and tons of gold chains around his neck.

Aaron looked dapper as he flashed a smoldering look as he walked past security and into the building.

Aaron showed off his rippling muscles as he watched action-packed new film Kraven The Hunter for the first time with Russell Crowe, which was released last Monday.

Aaron plays Kraven and the Marvel film is the latest installment of Spiderman’s Spider-verse following the superhero’s nemesis.

Aaron’s character is a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), sets him on a path of revenge.

The first eight minutes of the film were released last week and show Kraven posing as a Russian criminal and boarding a bus en route to prison.

Kraven enters the prison on purpose to eliminate Seymon Chorney, the leader of the Kirov gang that supplies weapons to murderers around the world.

Aaron plays fur-wearing big game hunter and Russian conservationist Sergei Kravinoff, who fights his enemies with primitive claws and spears.

A recent trailer reveals the origin story of Kraven’s hunt, in which a young Sergei is left to die by his father after being attacked by a lion.

As he lies dying, a drop of lion’s blood mixes with his own blood, transforming his DNA and allowing him to communicate with animals.

Enraged at his father, Sergei begins to chase down villains using his animal instincts and primitive weaponry as he slowly makes his way to his father.

But as he works his way through his list of enemies, he is confronted with a new one: the rhinoceros who tells him in the trailer: we all have a little animal inside us.

The Anna Karenina star told Comic Book that he hopes this will be just the start of an exciting storyline that could lead to a Spiderman crossover movie.

The plot shows how Kraven, or Sergei Kravinoff, grows from his tragic origin story into a darker, emotional storyline.

He told the publication: ‘Kraven’s Last Hunt’ is a brilliant comic book and a great story – and great source material that allows us to go to the end of this character’s life and then work backwards and give you the root, the seed that we plant in this story.’

He added: “So if you come and see this movie… There are twists and turns and the character at the end – if you like that and it’s successful – it’s a character I’d love to see go toe to toe with there definitely a few other characters.”

The film also stars Alessandro Nivola as Kraven’s antagonist The Rhino, while Russell Crowe will play Kraven/Sergei Kravinoff’s Russian aristocratic father.

Oscar winner Ariana DeBose plays Kraven’s love interest, voodoo priestess Calypso, who creates an herbal potion that extends Kraven’s life and gives him the strength, speed and senses befitting a jungle cat.

Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott will take on the villainous role of The Foreigner and The Pale Blue Eye star Fred Hechinger as Kraven’s half-brother Dmitri Smerdyakov/Chameleon.

His work on the new film comes amid speculation that the Bullet Train actor will take on the role of James Bond, most recently played by Daniel Craig.

Aaron recently addressed the rumors and said he wanted to work on the projects ahead of him.

He told Esquire: ‘I have to follow the beat of my own drum. It is my own path, which feels intuitive to me.

“I have never made a decision based on the perspectives of others, or their judgments, or their expectations.

‘You’ll go crazy if you do that. Your sense of worth and soul is gone.

“You have to understand what is essential to you and what feels right, and you have to stay on track with what is in front of you. Kraven is what is in front of me.”

On the thought of considering James Bond as a future role, he added: “I’m just focusing on the things I can have in my hands right now.” What stands before me now.’
