Aaron Taylor-Johnson addresses rumors that he’s going to be the next James Bond while revealing his predilection for big movie roles in the future

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has admitted that James Bond wouldn’t be his personal favorite for his next movie role, despite rumors of him being considered for the 007 movies.

A number of big stars have been mentioned as possibilities for the next 007 film since Daniel Craig left the film franchise following 2021’s No Time to Die.

And despite a reported secret meeting with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, 33-year-old Aaron says he prefers the title role in Marvel’s Kraven the Hunter, which has been pushed back from October 6 to an August 2024 release.

He told Esquire: ‘I have to follow the rhythm of my own drum. It’s my own path, which feels intuitive to me.

“I’ve never made a decision based on other people’s perspectives, or their judgments, or their expectations. You’ll go crazy if you do that. Your self-esteem and soul is gone.

Damson Idris became the latest name to be tipped as the next James Bond last month.

The Mail on Sunday understands that in recent days there has been a flurry of bets placed on the 31-year-old actor who starred in US crime drama Snowfall by punters who believe he could replace Daniel Craig as the iconic super-spy.

A source said: ‘This is the first time Damson’s name has been associated with Bond. It comes out of nowhere.’

According to bookmaker William Hill, Damson is now second favorite for the role of Bond behind Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Damson has appeared in small roles in series including Black Mirror and Swarm. He is currently starring as Franklin Saint in the drama series Snowfall on the FX channel.

Aaron has been linked to the 007 role ever since reports claimed he did a screen test for the role.
