Aaron Rodgers was on an AYAHUASCA trip in Costa Rica when news broke he could be Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s running mate, says Pat McAfee – who claims the New York Jets star did NOT expect it to come out
Aaron Rodgers was on an ayahuasca trip when reports first emerged that the New York Jets quarterback was in line to become the running mate of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., it is claimed.
The New York Times reported this on Tuesday that Kennedy approached both Rodgers and former WWE wrestler Jesse Ventura, an ex-governor of Minnesota, about appearing on his ticket.
But Pat McAfee – whose ESPN show Rodgers regularly appears during the NFL season – claims the quarterback had no idea the news was about to leak.
He says Rodgers was on an ayahuasca trip – the psychedelic that “changed his life.”
The 40-year-old has become known for his use of obscure treatments, including dark retreats, where he spent four days in isolation, without light or luxury.

McAfee said on his show Wednesday, “When the news from the New York Times hit the Internet yesterday that RFK Jr. Aaron Rodgers had entered the world as one of the finalists for his potential vice president in his independent presidential run that was currently taking place.
“Boy, I didn’t expect this one. I had no idea this would happen. I started thinking back and you can see how RFK Jr. really ruffled some feathers in the political world.
“We just happened to be in the middle of that and I didn’t necessarily like the feathers being ruffled because I had to be in the middle of a storm.
“But hey, listen. Aaron Rodgers is a friend of the program, a friend of ours, he feels, he is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of football.
“So I contacted sources. In my opinion, there is a chance that said person (Rodgers), who has the potential to become a future vice president of an independent president, if that were to ever happen, for the first time in the history of the United States, will never really have got. than 4 percent of the votes or something like that. I’ve done a lot of research.
“The world found out when that man was in Costa Rica. So when that photo is posted, Jordan Poyer and Aaron Rodgers, we can point out that they are currently in Costa Rica.
‘What are they doing in Costa Rica? We assume they sit down with the medicine and they said you don’t have to go to the attic and basement if you prepare for this kind of thing.

‘That’s a much nicer setup than I expected after hearing stories about ayahuasca use in Costa Rice. They were talking about sitting in teepees and I thought, “Wow, I never do that.” I’ve seen other people take videos of it and it looks like they’re walking through mud, but this seems like a really nice setup down there.
“I’m not 100 percent sure that the New York Jets quarterback necessarily knew that the New York Times was going to report that he might become vice president.
‘I didn’t get many follow-up questions there because he was in the middle of something, but I’m not 100 percent sure there was a full rollout plan because he wouldn’t be in Costa Rica, you would think;
Rodgers, the longtime Green Bay Packers quarterback who now plays for the Jets, shares Kennedy’s distrust of vaccine mandates and, like Kennedy, is a fixture on anti-establishment podcasts.
Kennedy has focused on gaining access to the ballot, an expensive and time-consuming process that he says will require collecting more than a million signatures per state.
Many states require independent candidates to name a running mate before they can gain access to the ballot, a factor that prompted Kennedy to make a choice.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed earlier on Wednesday that the Jets are ‘angry’ with Rodgers, saying it is ‘ridiculous’ to think he could campaign and play football at the same time.
A source said, “Many Jets coaches and players want Aaron to commit to the team and worry about winning the Super Bowl instead of a shot at getting into the White House.
“Aaron and Robert aren’t going to win, but when Aaron considers helping rule the country by playing for the team, many on the Jets are completely upset because you have to choose between one or the other.
“Aaron can’t campaign all week and play the Dolphins the following weekend. It is ridiculous.
“If Aaron is retired he can do whatever he wants, the Jets are not paying him not to play, the team has already had to accept and adopt his various controversial beliefs and comments and add a political career to the situation. is exactly the distraction that the team doesn’t want to be a part of at all.
“There’s only enough leash they can give and offer to Aaron, and they want him to be a teammate and not a running mate.”
