Aaron Rodgers SLAMMED by Colin Cowherd as host questions his decision to leave Packers after nightmare first year with Jets: ‘Forget his vaccine and political opinions, his football IQ isn’t very high’

Colin Cowherd has made a bold claim about Aaron Rodgers, saying the Jets quarterback’s football IQ is “not very high” in a new segment.

Rodgers, 40, is no stranger to controversy, as he has proudly refused the COVID vaccine and previously misled the public about his status, saying he had been “immunized” before admitting he had not received the shot.

But now Cowherd has taken aim at Rodgers’ football talent after a nightmarish first season with the Jets in which he tore his Achilles tendon in Week 1.

“He had a smart offensive coach. He had a very good offensive line, he was ranked third. He had a star running back, and they just drafted Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson — really, really talented young receivers,” Cowherd said Thursday on “The Herd” about Rodgers’ decision to leave the Packers.

“And Aaron said, ‘No, I want to go to a defensive coach (Robert Saleh) with a losing record, to the 31st offensive line.’

The Jets fell to a 7-10 record when Rodgers missed 16 games, while the offensive line Cowherd criticized was also a unit decimated by injuries. The Packers, meanwhile, are in the second round of the playoffs after beating the Cowboys last weekend.

In fairness to Rodgers, his No. 1 target Garrett Wilson is considered one of the best young receivers in the game, while Jets running back Breece Hall also had an impressive year – especially considering the circumstances.

Nevertheless, Cowherd apparently believes Rodgers made a mistake in seeking a trade outside of Green Bay, citing a brutal AFC East division and a glut of talented quarterbacks in the conference.

“When I look at Aaron Rodgers, was it delusional or just narcissism and hubris?,” he said.

Rodgers was recently in the news for baselessly suggesting that Jimmy Kimmel be named on the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers initially began by outlining a conspiracy theory about the colors of the NFL’s Super Bowl decals and predicting the teams that will play the big game this season.

The panel was baffled by his long-winded explanation, and co-host AJ Hawk interrupted to jokingly ask if it was about the Epstein list.

Kimmel was understandably outraged by the comments, calling Rodgers an “asshole.”

Rodgers seized the opportunity to bash old nemesis Kimmel, saying, “There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn’t come to fruition.”

Kimmel responded angrily to then the obviously fake nonsense that soft-brained idiots like you can’t seem to distinguish from reality.’

“Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep up the good work and we will discuss the facts further in court.’

Rodgers later walked back the comments, saying, “I’m not stupid enough to accuse (Kimmel) of that without absolutely zero evidence, concrete evidence.

‘That is ridiculous. I’m glad, and I think we can agree on something, which is that 1: these crimes are heinous and 2: I’m glad you’re not on the list.”
