Aaron Rodgers slammed as ‘smug, cavalier, condescending’ by ESPN star in brutal takedown after Jets loss

Shannon Sharpe has launched a ferocious attack on Aaron Rodgers after the Jets’ season went from bad to worse.

New York fell to 2-6 after Sunday’s humiliating loss to the Patriots, leaving Rodgers and Co. at the bottom of the AFC East.

The 40-year-old has failed to revive the Jets’ fortunes despite the team firing head coach Robert Saleh and bringing in Rodgers’ trusted ally, receiver Davante Adams.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich also took over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in an effort to turn around the Jets’ season. But New York is 0-3 under the new regime.

Quarterback Rodgers has come under fire in recent weeks, especially for his lucrative appearances on The Pat McAfee Show as his team struggles on the field.

Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe labeled the quarterback ‘smug, arrogant, condescending’

On Monday, Rodgers faced even more criticism, this time from former NFL star Sharpe.

Speaking of ESPN’s first takeSharpe said Rodgers is running out of excuses and scapegoats.

“This couldn’t happen to a more smug, arrogant and condescending man,” Sharpe said.

‘Who else are you going to blame? You’re running out of people to fire and demote. You fired Robert Saleh, now are you going to fire (Jeff) Ulbrich, the interim coach?

“You demoted Hackett. What are you going to do, demote the new offensive coordinator? Who else are you going to trade for? Who else are you going to bring in?’

The Jets will look to end a streak of five straight losses when they take on the Texans on Thursday.
