Like the rest of the football world, Peyton Manning is shocked by Aaron Rodgers’ injury in his Jets debut.
‘He is wounded. Holy cow, I can’t believe this,” Manning said with his brother Eli Manning on ESPN’s “Manningcast.”
‘I thought it was just an ankle. I thought we were going to record it and put him back in there, come on!’
Eli was also in disbelief after Rodgers was injured during his first series.

Rodgers, 39, fell to the ground and needed immediate medical attention
“Three plays, four plays?” he said.
Patrick Mahomes also commented on the injury, tweeting, “Hate that, man. Praying for the best,” with a prayer emoji.
Rodgers’ old Packers teammate David Bakhtiari, meanwhile, raged against MetLife’s artificial playing surface, which has had a significant number of injuries in the past.
‘Congratulations @nfl. How many more players have to get hurt on ARTIFICIAL GRASS??!,” he said.
‘You care more about footballers than about us. You plan to remove all the artificial grass for the upcoming World Cup. So it is clearly feasible. I’m tired of this…Do better!’
On just his fourth play in the Jets green, Rodgers dropped back on first down from the Jets’ 43-yard line and attempted to roll out to his left, before being sacked by Leonard Floyd for a loss of 10 yards.

He was also seen wearing a walking boot.
