A far-right news anchor appeared to suggest that the true cause of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ untimely injury was his penchant for using psychedelic drugs and a lack of God in his life.

Although scientists and doctors have not yet proven a link between a ruptured Achilles tendon and the consumption of psychoactive tea and/or lack of belief in a deity, Newsmax host Greg Kelly seems to believe this is the case.

After claiming that he had predicted disaster for Rodgers, Kelly also seemed to suggest that it is impossible to be an elite quarterback in the National Football League and be happy at the same time.

‘Did he rupture his Achilles tendon? Something like that? I totally saw this coming. I said it out loud, I can prove it to you tomorrow night. I’ll find the tape, it’s out there somewhere,” Kelly boasted on the far-right channel.

‘This would be a disaster. He lost the tiger’s eye. A competitive quarterback can’t always be happy and goofy.

“Something happened to this man and I think I know what it was: DRUGS. He got involved with psychedelics.

“This Ayahuasca tea, something like that gives you that ‘oh, I love you bro’ mentality. It’s uh… it’s not good.’

After airing part of a podcast in which Rodgers explained the benefits he experienced from using Ayahuasca, Kelly went on to say that if he wanted to find self-healing and self-love, he should try going to church.

“Whatever he’s talking about, ayahuasca tea is a poor substitute for God,” Kelly added.

Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury just four snaps into the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.

When he was fired by Leonard Floyd, Rodgers’ tendon ruptured, ending his first season with Gang Green.

In a post on his Instagram Story, Rodgers said he had undergone successful surgery and thanked his fans.

“Thank you for all the love, prayers and support,” the four-time MVP wrote. “And thanks to the (GOAT) Dr. El Attrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery.’
