Aaron Rodgers delivered his best performance yet as Jet on Thursday, but host Erin Andrews is not happy with his no-show on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football, which takes place after Gang Green’s victory over the Patriots.
While the quarterback did speak with Amazon’s sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung, he skipped the broadcast’s postgame show with Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, Richard Sherman and Andrews’ good friend, host Charissa Thompson.
And since both Thompson and Andrews apparently consider Rodgers a friend, the latter criticized the Jets star for dismissing Thompson and the show.
“I was looking forward to two of my really good friends screwing up,” she said of her Calm down podcast with Thompson, via Terrible announcement. “I didn’t like it.”
Andrews continued: “I get very sensitive when our people… it’s not that they don’t make time for it – I’ve joked about it to Tom Brady: ‘Remember the play you threw 400 yards and right past me ran. on postgame and I reapplied lip gloss, are you crazy?” It’s just rude.

And that move was criticized by Erin Andrews, a good friend of presenter Charissa Thompson
“Or now Aaron, when I talk to you: ‘How dare you not sit on that desk with Charissa.’ It does get personal.’
Rodgers has often had a tense relationship with the media during his time in the NFL.
Earlier this year, after suggesting that Jimmy Kimmel could be named as one of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates in lawsuits, he took aim at the media.
“This is the media’s game plan, and this is what they do,” he said on the Pat McAfee Show. “They’re trying to cancel, you know? And it’s not just me.’
He later agreed with Joe Rogan that his comments about Kimmel were “taken out of context.”
Rodgers also came in for a lot of criticism in the media after it emerged he had not been vaccinated against Covid. He had previously said he had been “immunized” against the virus, which many believed meant he had received the vaccine.

Rodgers struggles in the second quarter against the New England Patriots
Earlier this week, he had another media grievance when he accused the Jets of holding Haason Reddick’s agent behind critical leaks about himself and the team.
In August, The Athletics published a report titled “NFL Agents Dish Up the Best (and Worst) Franchises,” which included comments on a number of teams submitted by anonymous representatives.
In this case, the officer alleged there was “complete disarray” at the Jets facility in Florham Park, New Jersey. Issues cited included Rodgers’ decision to skip minicamp after a season-ending injury in 2023, as well as concerns that the quarterback had too much power within the franchise.
Whether that’s true or not, Rodgers looked good against the Patriots and there is real optimism surrounding the 2-1 Jets.
