Aaron Judge is joined by wife Samantha and fellow Yankees at US Open as the MLB stars trade the Bronx for Queens on day off

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge decided to travel from one borough to another to attend the US Open in Queens.

Instead of hitting home runs for the Bronx Bombers, the Yankees slugger enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

He was accompanied by his wife Samantha Bracksieck, along with teammate Anthony Rizzo and his wife Emily Rizzo.

They were spotted sipping on the tournament’s signature cocktail, the ‘honey deuce’, which is made with Grey Goose vodka, lemonade, Chambord and served with three melon balls.

The foursome were at Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Karolina Muchova defeat former US Open champion Naomi Osaka.

For Judge, this has become a tradition. For the past two years, he has taken his wife to the tennis tournament.

It’s a well-deserved night off for the slugger, who has been performing incredibly well this season – especially in recent weeks.

In August alone, Judge has slashed .415/.556/.927 with 12 home runs and 24 RBIs, along with 24 hits, six doubles and two stolen bases.

He currently leads all of Major League Baseball with 51 home runs, 123 RBIs, an on-base percentage of .467, a slugging percentage of .731 and an OPS of 1.198.

With a .333 batting average, Judge is the second-best player in the majors, behind Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt (.345).

The slugger also holds the league’s highest Wins Above Replacement (WAR) record at 10.1 and is expected to break his own American League record for home runs (62).

New York will soon have a reinforcement for their lineup with Rizzo, who is set to return from a rehab assignment with the Double-A Somerset Patriots after going on the injured list in mid-June with a forearm injury.

It couldn’t come at a better time — with the AL East division race heating up. The Yankees will be hoping to maintain their lead over the Baltimore Orioles when they open a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
