However, his manager revealed that the singer had been working on a new album in an effort to reconnect with his brother Nick.
The new album, Blacklisted, was released two days after his death.

The studio album would be released on December 7, which would mark Carter’s 35th birthday.
He last had contact with anyone in the early hours of Friday, around 2 a.m.
The LA County coroner is awaiting toxicology results before revealing a cause of death.
Carter was a child star who rose to fame in the early 2000s, but whose adult life was marked by drug addiction. His brother Nick was one of the Backstreet Boys.
Aaron Carter had previously credited his brother Nick for getting through his first rehab period
After Aaron’s death, Nick wrote on Instagram: “I’ve always held out hope that he would somehow find a healthy path and eventually find the help he so desperately needed.
“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villain here.”
Aaron Carter’s twin sister Angel Conrad also posted on Instagram a heartfelt tribute to her brother after his death.
She said, ‘I loved you immeasurably.
‘You will be sorely missed. My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and me, and I promise to cherish them.

Monday, two days after his death, it was taken off the market again.
During his two years in the high-altitude city of Lancaster, 70 miles north of Los Angeles, he’d been vacuuming with several people in the area.
A neighbor who did not want to be identified for fear of reprisal from his fans told DailyMail.com: “Aaron had problems with several neighbors on his street, at least three of them called the police.
“Aaron was just arrogant, he thought he was better than everyone else around. He would brag about having better vehicles and that his house was bigger than most in the area.
There was always a commotion coming out of the house with Aaron and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Melanie Martin, arguing all day.
“Every few months we saw police standing in front of his house,” said the neighbor.
On several occasions Aaron locked Melanie outside his house, after a screaming match and she banged on the door and yelled “let me in.”
