A woman who wanted a detailed Leo zodiac sign tattoo was mortified after receiving a bizarre doodle instead.
Lydia Sawyer, from Bournemouth in Dorset, said she showed the tattoo artist an intricate image of a lion which she asked to tattoo behind her ear.
However, she said she was mortified after the artist revealed the scribble-like drawing he had etched into her skin, which was nothing like her request.
Lydia is now desperate to eliminate the mishap. However, she says she’ll have to shell out at least £320 on laser removal before she can cover it up with more ink.

‘It didn’t seem dubious, but they didn’t ask me to fill out any consent forms or ask for my ID. I’m pretty sure they would just tattoo anyone.
‘The artist said he couldn’t make my design as detailed as I showed him, but he would do the best he could.
It was behind my ear so I couldn’t really see it. But over the next few weeks, I started to hate it. It cost me £60.
Unfortunately for Lydia, this isn’t the first time a tattoo has caused her stress.
She admits that she also had a tattoo of her boyfriend’s initials behind her other ear which she has since covered up.

She added: ‘I went to cover it a few weeks ago as I was going to cover another one on the other side.
They were my ex-boyfriend’s initials. I covered it up but he said the lines in this [the lion] they were too dark.
‘I had to see if they would take it off first. They said he would need a few sessions to lighten it up to £40 a session.
I will need about eight laser sessions. But it’s so painful and sensitive in this area of the skin that I’m leaving it for now.’
