A VERY X-rated home! Stunning five-bed property from hit Netflix show Sex Education goes on the market for £1.5million – complete with its own orchard and chapel and views over the River Wye

Sex Education’s stunning five-bed property has hit the market for £1.5 million.

Symonds Yat in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire is home to main character Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) and his sex therapist mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) in the hit Netflix show.

The unique property is complete with its own orchard and offers stunning views over the River Wye – with the option to purchase an ancient chapel to boot.

In the show, the house from ‘Moordale’ is featured in iconic scenes, such as Otis’ house party in the second season, and is a recurring backdrop as the endearing protagonist cycles to school with his best friend Eric (Ncuti Gatwa).

And just after the fourth and final season of Sex Education was released on the streaming platform last Thursday, fans had a rare chance to get their hands on the incredible property.

The chalet was built in 1912 as a Norwegian-style salmon fishing hut. In 2002 it was expanded by the previous owner, while retaining the original style and design.

The very spacious house is spread over three floors and has five bedrooms – some with balconies – and three bathrooms.

A ground floor balcony overlooks the woodland, while a long driveway surrounded by beautiful woodlands – home to many species of wildlife – provides a private retreat.

The lower terrace features a Swedish hot tub, while a purpose-built stone pizza oven and custom-made kitchen provide ample options for preparing delicious meals.

The three living areas on the ground floor have five wood-burning stoves.

The grounds cover a total of four and a half hectares and also house a summer house and an orchard.

The picturesque setting and style of Symonds Yat has also caught the attention of TV executives on other occasions – as seen in the Channel 4 series Extraordinary Escapes.

The latest series of Sex Education follows the much-loved characters as they leave Moordale Secondary to start at Cavendish Sixth Form College.

Original characters like Otis, Eric and Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) all start off in college, while Maeve (Emma Mackey) heads to the US to study at the prestigious Wallace University.

However, the fourth season received a lukewarm reception from critics and was labeled as ‘underdeveloped’.

Lucy Mangan of The Guardian labeled the season as “one long list of frustrations” and noted in her three-star review that “the overstuffed cast means everything and everyone is underdeveloped.”

The first episodes of the show debuted on Netflix in 2019 and in July it was confirmed that it would end after the recent season.
