An Interstate-95 overpass in Philadelphia has collapsed after a massive tanker fire under it.

Video showed flames shooting up from the road as the collapsed overpass fell onto the sidewalk below. Smoke filled the area and could be seen for miles.

The fire started around 6am on Sunday between the Academy Road exit and Cottonaan Avenue. That’s in the Tacony section of North Philadelphia.

Firefighters are working to get the fire under control, but no injuries have yet been reported.

The highway is close to the fire.

The fire caused the northern side of the bridge to collapse and the southern side has been ‘compromised’. according to NBCPhiladelphia.

Officials told a local reporter that “the roadway is gone.”
