A sweet face! You can see beautiful ‘Strawberry Moon’ rising all over the world in beautiful images
- The next full moon we can all see is the Buck Moon sky on July 3
People across the UK were treated to a beautiful sight as a beautiful Strawberry Moon rose this weekend.
Truly amazing pictures have been taken showing the moon in a radiant color.
One image shows the huge-looking moonrise over Darwen Tower in Lancashire.
Another – less orange – moon is visible behind the Victoria Tower in Huddersfield.
Despite what you may think, the term “strawberry moon” doesn’t mean the full moon is pink, even though it appears that way in the sky.

Taking its name from the strawberry harvest in North America, which traditionally takes place in June, many cultures have seen it as a marker to announce the start of the hot summer season.
Unfortunately, those who hoped to see the Strawberry Moon have now lost their chance.
The full moon was in sight late last night and early this morning around 4am.
An avid photographer even managed to capture someone running past the rising moon, capturing an incredible moment.
The moon was also pictured peeking out of some clouds above New York’s Empire State Building.
There are sometimes more than 12 full moons in a year and each corresponds to the name of a full moon.
So fear not – the next chance you have to see a full moon in the sky is on July 3, where the Buck Moon will be on full display.
