A retiree’s horror after neighbor and his wife had sex on a bollard in a parking row
A retiree whose neighbor had sex on a bollard amid an argument over parking has spoken out about the ordeal for the first time.
Wendie Bryant, 68, today waived her right to anonymity to speak about her extraordinary feud with Lee Craig McConnell during their cul de sac in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
Ms. Bryant revealed how she had done it a series of arguments with him over parking, culminating in her masturbating outside the front of her house before calling his wife Danielle and having sex on top of her bollard.
Ms Bryant relived the shocking incident to MailOnline: “He was stark naked doing ‘that’, then he called his wife, she was wearing a scarf and he bent her over the traffic bollard.”
And she berated columnist Giles Coren for joking about the case that left her traumatized.

Ms Bryant, a retired international food trader, revealed that her husband Colin, 70, was rushed to hospital an hour before the sexual act last October with health complications from a previous stroke – leaving her home alone.
She said, “It’s been traumatic. I can’t understand how anyone can do this. Colin had left with an ambulance at 10pm that same night and an hour later they were out there in my parking lot.
“In court he said he didn’t know he was being filmed, but he was gesturing to the camera all the time, so I think he knew.
“He knew I was alone in the house.
‘I still can’t reach it. I keep wondering how the hell it got to this point when all I asked him was not to park in my parking spot.’
Ms Bryant said she only found out what happened when she checked her CCTV cameras in the morning.
She said: ‘I was so disgusted and so angry when I saw the footage I just thought ‘these people need to be stopped’.
“I gave the police a copy and then deleted it. I was so disgusted I didn’t want to keep those images anywhere.’
McConnell, 28, was arrested. In court earlier this month, he pleaded guilty to indecent exposure.

The feud started in May 2022 when McConnell started parking his Volkswagen campervan in Wendie and Colin’s parking lot which – due to the cul-de-sac layout – was outside his home.
After asking several times not to park there, she installed a lockable bollard that was damaged several times, leading her to install a CCTV camera in September.
She said, ‘I don’t know why this happened. I’ve always been very nice to them.
McConnell’s wife Danielle (pictured) wrote a letter to her neighbors apologizing to them
Colin was in the hospital for 10 weeks from May and the day he came out they were parked there.
“It may seem to people that it is 2 meters of asphalt, but it is my 2 meters of asphalt.
“I actually feel guilty that it went this far, but he pushed me all the way. He pushed me to install the traffic bollard, he pushed me to hang the camera and he pushed me to call the police.
“I don’t know why he hates me. So maybe it’s just because I stood up to him.”
Retired surveyor Colin has lived in the house for 20 years, while former international food trader Wendie moved in 10 years ago. They say there have never been any problems with parking, but the squabbles started within a year of the couple arriving.
In court, McConnell said he has put his house up for sale since the incident and is not allowed to have any contact with Wendie.
Wendie said, “He has a restraining order, which doesn’t stop him from living near me. I can’t stop him from going to the grocery store at the same time as me or walking to his car as I cross the neighborhood.
“I really don’t know why I’m not scared of the guy, because he’s a pretty big guy, he’s ex-military, and I have fibromyalgia, a fat ticker, and a pacemaker. So if he wanted to hurt me, you could easily do that.
“But having worked in the city for 10 years in the 1980s, I understand bullying and bullying. I’ve seen it all before and this man doesn’t intimidate me.’
The lawsuit was reported in the UK and around the world, but Wendie says she was driven to tell her side of the story after the row was mocked by columnist Coren.

Coren wrote, ‘Have to say, hats off to the pair. I can’t even get my wife to do it with me, at home, in bed, in the dark, in the newly redecorated bedroom suite I’ve just spent thousands of pounds on. And yet Lee Craig McConnell has only to grumble that the neighbors have blocked his parking space again and his wife is straddling him outside, over a cold bollard in Blandford Forum.’
But Wendie said, “It may be funny for Coren, but he belittled what we had to go through and made fun of us. Coren said hats off for breaking the law. I hope he’s proud of himself.’
McConnell will be sentenced on April 27 at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court. His wife was not charged in connection with the incident after writing an apology letter to neighbors.
