Love Island: All Stars is well underway.

But once again, there’s one element of the show that makes viewers cringe and reach for the remote to turn down the volume: the loud kissing.

Following the success of last year’s series, the ITV show returned for its second series in South Africa, with the first episode airing on January 13.

However, viewers have already witnessed several stars sharing a cheeky, loud hug in the first week of getting to know each other.

During Wednesday night’s episode, viewers were left in shock when Ronnie Vint kissed Kaz Crossley in the Secret Garden, just minutes after kissing Elma Pazar.

Here, MailOnline looks back at some of the show’s grossest sex acts over the years.

1. Zara McDermott and Adam Collard

Love Island fans were turned away when they saw Adam Collard, 29, and Zara McDermott, 28, in 2018.

The muscular hunk had waited five days to lock lips with the beauty as he moved on to his third summer soulmate in just two weeks.

Social media was flooded with comments criticizing Adam’s kissing technique as he ‘rammed’ his tongue into her mouth.

During the sloppy kiss, Zara left her mouth closed as she had previously told fellow islander Ellie Brown that there would be no tongue action.

But fans felt sick as they watched the kiss play out on screen and called out producers for zooming in on Adam’s tongue.

A fan wrote at the time: ‘Zara: I’m going to kiss Adam but strictly NO TONGUE. Adam: rams tongue down her throat #loveisland.’

While another commented: ‘They really didn’t need to zoom into Adam’s tongue like that #loveisland.’

2. Ronnie Vint and Jess White

Ronnie Vint, 28, and Jess White, 25, both appeared on Love Island last year and the pair shared a very steamy kiss on the terrace.

In June, all the islanders played a game of truth or dare, which quickly gained steam.

During the game, Samantha Kenny, 27, then dared to kiss the islander who she instantly bonded with.

The star wasted no time in leaning in for a sweet cuddle with Ronnie, leaving the other islanders shocked.

However, when it was Ronnie’s turn, he dared to kiss the two islanders he thought had the best bodies, and he chose Jess and Harriett, leaving Samantha less than impressed.

The kiss caused a spark between him and Jess as they soon went to the terrace for a chat and secretly shared a steamy kiss.

3. Joey Essex and Samantha Kenny

In June last year, Love Island viewers took to social media to admit their shock at the contestants sharing several steamy kisses in the villa on day two.

And islanders Joey Essex, 33, and Samantha certainly didn’t hold back for the cameras.

The pair shared a steamy kiss around the fire pit, but viewers at home were less than impressed as they complained the show’s microphone was too loud.

One fan moaned: ‘How many times do we have to ask them to turn the mic down when they kiss.’;

‘WHY DO JOEY AND SAMANTHA KISS LIKE THIS.’;

‘Joey can’t kiss.’;

‘That kiss was terrible.’;

‘So many kisses already, it hasn’t even been 10 minutes.’;

4. Anna Vakili and film Soko

Love Island fans complained they felt sick in 2019 after Anna Vakili, 34, and Ovie Soko, 33, shared a sloppy kiss.

Viewers saw the pair share a steamy kiss in the cozy room, but many were left reaching for the remote as they couldn’t bear the gross slurping sounds coming from the screen.

One fan wrote on social media: “Actually I told Anna and Ovie to stop kissing (out loud), not because of Jordan, but because of the damn noise they’re making.”

‘I wish they would mute the kissing sounds.’; “By the way, the lip sound in HD is so ugly.”

Not everyone was disgusted, however, as many viewers were happy to see the pharmacist and the basketball star together.

One fan wrote, “Lmao this sloppy kiss with a movie…honestly I understand. I get it Anna. Slurp away.”

5. Scott Van Der Sluis and Abi Moores

Abi Moores and Scott Van Der Sluis appeared in the Love Island series in 2023.

Initially, 25-year-old Abi was in a messy love triangle with Mitchel Taylor and Ella B, but she soon left Mitchel after days of back and forth and set her sights on Scott.

After picking Scott during the recoupling, the couple headed to the patio for some alone time.

Abi said at the time: ‘I’m happy now. I think if we had kept talking and he had gotten to know Ella, this would have happened anyway. I don’t think it would have been any different.’

Scott said: “We had a nice cuddle in bed last night,” before Abi cheekily added: “More tonight!”

Speaking about asking Abi to the terrace, Scott said: ‘I had to do this. I couldn’t just kiss you in bed for the first time, so it had to be this. Take you to the terrace, things are ready here!’

The couple then shared their first passionate kiss before sleeping together that same evening.

6. Tom Clare and Zara Lackenby-Brown

In 2023, Tom Clare, 25, and Zara Lackeby-Brown, 27, locked lips on Love Island, but viewers at home were less than pleased.

The pair shared their first kiss after Zara chose to pair up with Tom in a recoupling ceremony.

But fans at home complained that their kiss lasted too long and that the microphone sounds were turned up too high.

One viewer said: ‘Turn the mic off when they kiss, I BEG UUU’.

While another echoed: ‘It’s like the producers turn up the mic volume when they see a couple touching lips…like I’m eating #LoveIsland’.

A third agreed, writing: ‘Who gave the sound engineer permission to bring back the kissing sounds #loveisland’

Even host Maya Jama commented on the kiss on Aftersun, saying the sounds made her feel sick.

7. Casey O’Gorman and Rosie Seabrook

Casey O’Gorman, 27, and Rosie Seabrook, 26, appeared in the 2023 series of Love Island.

During the episode, newcomer Keanan Brand, 24, admitted he liked Rosie to Casey before she and Casey shared a kiss.

As Keanan and Casey caught up, Keanan admitted, “I’m just here to let you know that it’s obviously pretty obvious that I like Rosie, I just wanted to let you know.” I just wanted to tell you before she tells you.”

After their conversation, Casey walked to the snug where he was joined by Rosie. He opened his arms and said, “Come here, come and avoid the drama.”

“I literally walked in tonight thinking, I can’t wait to chill with Rosie, take her out to the patio, have a little kiss and then I hear Keanan likes you.”

Rosie said, “Let’s just close that for now?” and Casey wondered, “For now?”

Rosie and Casey continued to chat privately and shared a steamy kiss, despite Keanan previously admitting his feelings for Rosie.
