A Nintendo Indie World Showcase has been confirmed to take place tomorrow. Here’s how and when you can watch it

Nintendo has announced that the next Indie World Showcase will air this week. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming livestream.

The upcoming Nintendo Indie World Showcase takes place tomorrow, April 17, starting at 4pm CEST / 7am PT / 3pm BST.

Where to look

As with any Nintendo Direct or Indie World Showcase, fans can tune in to Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, including Nintendo Great BritainAnd Nintendo of America. While the company didn’t specifically mention this in its announcement post on X (formerly Twitter), it’s likely that it will also broadcast the showcase on its official website. Nintendo Twitch channel too.

What to expect

The new Indie World Showcase will last “approximately 20 minutes” according to Nintendo and will include announcements and updates about indie games coming to Nintendo Switch in 2024.

It hasn’t yet been revealed which indie studios will be present at this point, but it’s possible the showcase will finally announce the release date for the highly anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silk Song.

The game was announced in February 2019 and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of its release for years. Recently the game was given and became an official Xbox store page appreciated in Koreawhich raises theories that the game could be released soon, perhaps this year.

The last we heard of it Hollow Knight: Silk Song was in 2022, where the most recent trailer debuted as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase event. The game has been confirmed to release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass.
