A man’s body is found floating in a lake in New York’s Central Park, prompting an NYPD investigation

The body of a man was found in a lake in New York’s Central Park on Sunday afternoon.
It was reported to police around 3:16 p.m. in the Harlem Meer area in the extreme northeast of the park, an NYPD spokesman said.
When police first responded they found a man to be ‘unresponsive and unconscious’ and when paramedics arrived later they stated the man was dead.
The spokesman said an investigation was ongoing and no explanation for his death had been found.
Investigations into how the man died will be conducted by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
