Lara and David Stone, who are now divorced, are selling the 9,800-square-foot home that sits on a half-acre for $6.5 million.

The street, called Via Di Pietra, was created more than a decade ago when the house was being built, which took nearly two years.

The area of the house where the street sits was simply an empty alley and the couple did not want to leave it empty.

Lara’s mother had the idea of painting a mural but the couple decided to go a step further and recreate an entire street scene.

A cobblestone floor was laid and shop windows were painted on the walls with real windows placed in front to create an even more regal feel.

A complete ‘restaurant’ with a table outside was named Ristorante Jaredino after his son Jared.

The house that sits on a half acre has now been listed for $6.5 million dollars.

Apart from the street there is also a large pool area to relax.

A lighted basketball court is also located to one side of the house.

A ‘chocolate shop’ stands opposite Allison Cioccolato, named after the Stones’ daughter, while Chez Andre, named after second son Andy, is a wine and cheese shop. It contains the empty wine bottles that the couple have drunk over the years.

The street numbers in each of the storefronts pay homage to their children’s birthdays.

The European flavor also flows into the home replete with dark wood fixtures, marble and granite floors and archways.

The home also features a full basement with a wine cellar and a home theater room with comfortable leather seating.

Since the couple is no longer together, the Stones have decided to sell now that their children have also moved away and are in college.

The master bedroom has a comfortable sitting area and high ceilings that create a spacious feeling.

A spacious marble countertop allows the opportunity to spread out while cooking in the kitchen.
