A Dungeons & Dragons 50th anniversary vinyl album will be released next month

Wizards of the Coast is pulling out all the stops to celebrate this Dungeons and dragons 50th anniversary. In addition to the launch of a new Player’s Handbook (the 2024 edition Dungeon Master’s Guide coming mid-November), the company has announced a new album fit for a tabletop outing. Bardic inspiration: A Musical journey through the forgotten realms will be launched on November 15 and will be available digitally And — here’s the really special part — as a double vinyl for $49.99. Pre-orders are available now from Amazon.

Bardic inspiration was composed by Michael Gatt and contains 12 songs that “serve as an aural tribute to the rich lore and enchanting adventures that have defined D&D for half a century.” Judging by the tracklist, all the hits are here, including both iconic locations like Baldur’s Gate and Waterdeep and iconic figures from D&D history like Drizzt the dark elf, Lolth the Demon Queen of Spiders and Tiamat. You can listen to the first single “Arise, Tiamat!” now through Apple music.
