A British woman and her friend have been killed in a head-on collision with a truck hours after arriving in Kenya for a holiday.
The woman was killed in a road accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway yesterday morning.
A male friend who had picked her up from the airport also died at the scene of the accident, while their driver suffered serious injuries during the incident, which took place along the busy road at 4am, the Nairobian newspaper reported. the star reports.
The car was on its way to Nakuru and collided with a truck. The driver was taken to Naivasha hospital in critical condition, while the people in the truck were unhurt.

He said initial investigations revealed that the motorist veered from the lane and collided head-on with the truck which was heading towards Nairobi.
Kirui said: “During the trial, the British national who was visiting the country and one man died on the spot while their driver was seriously injured and admitted to the sub-provincial hospital.”
The two bodies were taken to Naivasha Hospital mortuary.
The damaged car was towed to the police station and an investigation was launched.
The accident occurred after a Kenyan man suspected of killing his girlfriend in the United States and leaving her body in an airport parking lot escaped custody in Nairobi.
Kevin Kangethe was being held pending extradition to the United States over the death of Margaret Mbitu late last year, but slipped out of a police station on Wednesday evening.
“This is shameful,” said Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei.
“We have arrested the four officers who were on duty when he escaped to explain how this happened and we are looking for him,” he added.
U.S. and Kenyan authorities had launched a manhunt after Mbitu was found stabbed to death in a parking lot at Boston’s Logan Airport in November.
An arrest warrant was issued for Kangethe after he fled the United States to his native Kenya, where he was arrested in late January.
