No champagne showers here! Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon slips into another Dior dress for huge fashion event after ruining her $10,000 designer gown at Melbourne races
Olympic gold medalist Emma McKeon and her boyfriend Cody Simpson recently turned heads at a star-studded Dior fashion event in Sydney.
The swimming sensation, 30, stunned in a stunning ivory Dior dress with lace that highlighted her incredible figure.
The swimmer’s striking look was accessorized with delicate jewelry and the brand’s signature Lady Dior handbag as she smiled for the cameras alongside her singer boyfriend Cody Simpson, 27.
The couple exuded old Hollywood elegance, with Simpson looking every bit the dashing date in a classic black tuxedo.
The exclusive event, held under the radiant glow of Dior’s iconic gold motif, marked a major fashion moment for McKeonn, who made waves not only in swimming, but also in style.
Last month, the Olympic record holder made headlines after a champagne accident at the Melbourne Cup left her $10,000 Dior dress ruined.

She recently broke her silence about the blunder that made her completely immersed in champagne.
The Australian swimming champion was left red-faced on Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse when she got soaked while trying to do GH Mumm’s iconic ‘tap tap moment’.
She tapped the three-liter bottle with a saber, but the champagne exploded, soaking her completely, instead of bursting high into the air as expected.
Emma’s lavish Christian Dior dress, which cost an estimated $10,000, was left covered alcohol and she was photographed with a shocked expression at the awkward blunder.
Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia at Marie Claire’s Women of the Year Awards Sydney, the Olympic swimming champion joked about her watering with a tongue-in-cheek one-liner.
“I think I’m used to being wet, so it’s just different being wet from champagne versus chlorine,” she joked.
Walking the red carpet with her boyfriend Cody SimpsonEmma also reflected on her success at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and shared her one regret.
While Emma took home gold for Australia in the 4×100 freestyle relay, she admitted she would have liked to have competed in the freestyle singles final as well.

Reflecting on the Games, Emma said: ‘Paris has put on such an excellent Olympic Games, it’s such an iconic city, so I really wanted to be part of that Olympic Games.
“I probably wanted to be part of that 100m freestyle final in the race itself, but to be part of that 4x100m relay, which has such a great history and is such a special relay for Australia.
“It’s kind of like a relay that we’re part of and that’s what raises the bar for us every year. I felt very honored and special to be part of it.’

Emma is now enjoying some downtime with her singer boyfriend Cody after the Olympics and said it is making the most of time away from the ‘intensity’‘.
“We’ve just been on holiday in Europe for three weeks so it was really nice to take the chance to switch off and catch our breath from the high intensity, that was really nice,” she said.
Emma and Cody went ‘Instagram official’ with their relationship in July 2022, three months after they started dating in secret.
Last year the loving couple celebrated this by buying their first house together.
The couple spent $1.826 million on a family model Gold Coast at home, proving their headline-making romance has flourished as training for the 2022 Commonwealth Games gets more serious.
