Joe Swash shares update on EastEnders return after he made a surprise cameo ahead of the soap’s 40th anniversary

Joe Swash has revealed he would consider an EastEnders return if he was asked, but he has to put his family first.

The 42-year-old actor and presenter played Mickey Miller from 2003 to 2008 and made a one-off appearance last week, but has admitted a full-time comeback would depend on his family.

Joe is married to Loose Women star Stacey Solomon and has Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, 23 months, with her.

He also has son Harry with Emma Sophocleous, while Stacey, 34, has Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships.

He told it The mirror: ‘If they wanted me to go back in, I would think about it.

‘I have a large family, so it should ultimately suit me and the family. The soaps are quite full and I have a fairly young family.’

He said: ”I really enjoyed my time. The people who worked there, the directors, the writers and the bosses were all such great people. I loved it there, I really did.

‘So yes, I’m celebrating the anniversary with everyone else.

“As much as I was into it, I’m also a fan of the show. They did very well for 40 years. It’s a real milestone.’

In his recent cameo in Albert Square, Joe appeared completely naked with only a Christmas present to cover his modesty.

But after seeing himself on screen, he vowed to “get back in shape” because he’s “never had a dad bod like this” until now.
