Still in superhero shape! Hugh Jackman shows off his very muscular frame as he goes shirtless while enjoying a swim down North Bondi

Hugh Jackman showed off his muscles as he went for a swim in the sunshine in Sydney’s North Bondi on Wednesday.

The Australian actor, 56, proved he stays in superhero shape as he showed off his toned physique during his day out at the beach.

He showed off his toned body as he went shirtless in black patterned board shorts as he took a dip in the sea.

Hugh seemed to be in good spirits as he laughed and joked with his longtime personal trainer and friend Michael Ryan.

Hugh cooled off amid the humid climate by taking a dip in the sea and then chatted with Michael as they walked along the beach together.

Famed fitness trainer Michael has long been responsible for getting Hugh into top shape to play superhero Wolverine.

And Hugh proved he hasn’t let his hard work go to waste as he continued to show off his enviable muscles during his day out at the beach.

Hugh, who recently reprized his role in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, has previously shared exactly how he maintains his muscular physique to play Wolverine.

Last year, Hugh revealed he consumed up to 8,000 calories a day to play the iconic superhero.

In general, men need about 2,500 calories per day to easily maintain their weight.

Hugh said it takes him about six months of hardcore training to physically prepare for his return as Wolverine.

Hugh is currently back in Australia to spend the Christmas period with his children, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, following his split from wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

Oscar and Ava appear to be spending the holidays with Hugh this year following their parents’ divorce in September 2023. It is unclear whether their mother will also return to Australia for Christmas.

Hugh – who lives in New York – and his children are believed to be staying in his stunning $12 million North Bondi penthouse.

Hugh bought the luxury low-rise apartment in 2015 for $5.9 million. The three-bedroom property has panoramic ocean views and luxurious finishes throughout.

Hugh was reportedly planning to introduce his rumored new partner Sutton Foster to his and Deb’s children Oscar and Ava over the holidays.

However, Deb is said to be ‘not keen on the idea’, with a source claiming she didn’t want a ‘mixed’ family Christmas.

“It’s a delicate balancing act and he feels like if anyone is spending less time with the kids this year, it’s him,” she added.

In September 2023, Hugh shocked fans when he filed for divorce from Deb after nearly three decades of marriage.

“We are blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together as husband and wife for nearly three decades,” the couple said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth.”

Months later, rumors began to circulate that Hugh, 49, and Broadway star Sutton had become close, with insiders telling PageSix that they are now ‘in love’.

“They are 100 percent together, in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” an insider told the publication.

‘They’re still together. They do everything they can to hide it, but it is common knowledge.’

Another insider claimed that Hugh and Sutton are determined to make their relationship work and are keeping things low key at the moment.

Hugh and Sutton took on the roles of Harold Hill and Marian Paroo in The Music Man, which ran from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theater in Manhattan.
