I’m a Celeb: A Place in the Sun’s Scarlette Douglas hints she’s looking for romance with Owen Warner

She landed in Australia this week as she prepares to take part in this year’s series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

And now it has been revealed that Scarlette Douglas reportedly split from her The Voice star boyfriend Lyndrik Xela earlier this year.

After the heartbreak, it appears that the A Place In The Sun presenter, 35, is looking for love as she has now suggested a possible romance with co-star Owen Warner.

Scarlette was in a two-year relationship with Lyndrik, after they met more than a decade ago when they starred side by side on the West End show Thriller Live.

But it looks like the romance is over, with a source telling the Sun: “They quietly broke up earlier this year — it was tough with her schedule and his career.”

The source shared that the Down Under adventure is helping with the breakup, the source continued: “She was upset when it first happened, but she’s fine now and she’s looking forward to her I’m A Celeb journey. ‘

And a new romance could be close, as Scarlette – the ninth contestant announced for I’m A Celeb 2022 – admitted she could be looking for love in the jungle.

When asked by The Sun if it was on the card, the presenter replied: ‘Potentially yes’.

With one man already in mind, she explained that a “muscle man” is her type, and seemed to refer to her new co-star Owen, who was billed as the fourth camp mate and has admitted to looking for romance in the jungle.

‘I just like a good, honest, trustworthy man. It is, but I hear there might be someone in the jungle who’s got a good set of muscles on him, so if I went to the jungle I’d like to see a muscular man yeah – see if there’s a Tarzan there, ‘ she said.

Hollyoaks star Owen, who often shares his toned physique in shirtless social media photos, is also considered single and ready to mingle, admitting he wouldn’t mind meeting anyone on the show.

The actor has previously been linked with Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry, Stephanie Davis and The Apprentice’s Camilla Ainsworth.

Scarlette and Owen will join a slew of stars on the show’s rumored streak, including Mike Tindall and Chris Moyles, who have already landed in Brisbane.

I’m A Celebrity returns on Sunday, November 6, and will be filmed in Australia for the first time since 2019 – following Covid-19 restrictions.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have also landed in Down Under, marking the series’ first return to Australia since 2019.
