The Chase’s Mark Labbett branded a ‘narcissist’ after dismissing his year-long relationship with Hayley Palmer as ‘not serious’ in savage takedown
Fans have been outraged as they rushed to Hayley Palmer’s defense after her ex Mark Labbett claimed their relationship was ‘not serious’.
The Chase star, known as The Beast, 59, took a savage swipe at the TV presenter, 42, in an interview with The sun as he explained, he and his wife Katie will only divorce if one of them meets someone serious.
Fans responded to Mark’s comments, labeling the TV star a ‘narcissist’ and criticizing his hurtful comments.
Hayley and Mark split in May, just days after their one-year anniversary, leaving the blonde in therapy for ‘betrayal trauma’.
She wrote on Instagram in response to her ex’s recent comments: ‘I think it’s a shame that someone can say something so callous about a relationship that lasted more than a year.
“I have moved on and am working to become the best version of myself. I think mental health is actually serious and we all need to work together to have a caring Christmas x’.
Fans have branded The Chase’s Mark Labbett a ‘narcissist’ after his savage swipe at ex Hayley Palmer, as she calls him ‘heartless’ after his claims their relationship was ‘not serious’
The Chase star, 59, explained that he and wife Katie will only divorce if one of them meets someone serious, as he has seemingly rejected his long-term relationship with Hayley.
Meanwhile, fans took aim at Mark’s careless comments as they wrote: ‘He has no self-reflection, no empathy, takes no responsibility for his actions, classic signs of a narcissist. Hayley dodged a bullet.’;
‘He’s not nice, he’s completely himself, probably broke it off without telling her and ghosted her.’; ‘Sometimes it’s better to say nothing…just a thought.’;
‘Was it really necessary to make that statement! I’d say she had a lucky escape!’; lucky escape there, another ‘crazy’.’;
‘He was hitting anyway. He just didn’t like you that much. He is not worth your tears’; ‘He doesn’t come across well at all. I feel sorry for Hayley after reading this. What a tool.
‘Sucking away from your ex is not and will never be a good look. Be quiet, respectful and proceed calmly.’; “He’s clearly not over his ex yet.”
Mark and his wife Katie split in 2020 after seven years of marriage and continue to co-parent their son, often sharing photos of family outings on social media.
It comes after Hayley expressed her determination to move on and focus on self-improvement following the ‘traumatic’ break-up.

She told me last month Great: ‘I’m focusing on my self-esteem and working on the body I’ve always wanted.
‘It was a terrible break, and he was really beastly. But now I want to become the best version of myself.
“I’m in the gym every day, swimming, doing affirmations, getting my steps in, doing body pumps and lifting weights.”
Hayley previously admitted thinking about Mark with someone else ‘brings it all back’ as she spoke candidly six months after the couple’s split.
Hayley admitted she was forced to switch the TV channel after watching it on Loose Women, admitting she found it ‘triggering’.
Speaking to MailOnline, Hayley admitted: ‘It was really upsetting to see him appear on my screen, and I had to turn away. I didn’t expect it to feel like this.
“The last time he was there, I was sitting next to him and we were talking about celebrating our one-year anniversary, and exactly a week later my world fell apart.”

She added, “To be honest, whenever I think about him with anyone, it all comes back.”
Hayley explained that she was surprised by how she felt as she continued: “It was triggering. I didn’t think it would be like this because I’ve worked really hard on my mindset and I’ve ended up in a good place.”
Hayley previously claimed Mark is ‘living up to his nickname’ after he ‘blindsided’ her by brutally breaking up with her over the phone.
She also revealed that Mark ended their year-long romance because he didn’t want to divorce his ex-wife Katie.
She also said she was disappointed that Mark didn’t discuss their relationship issues in person and subsequently blocked him from contacting her.
After celebrating their one-year anniversary on social media in May, Mark later claimed there was too much of an age difference between them.
Hayley confirmed the news of their split on Instagram, writing: ‘It’s with regret I announce that me and Mark have gone our separate ways. We have had the best year together and I sincerely wish him all the best for the future.”
