Shocking moment Eagles star Darius Slay lands punch on rival sparking mass on-field brawl

The Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in one of the fiercest rivalries in the NFL, and it didn’t take long for tensions to boil over.

In the first quarter of the Week 15 bust, the two teams came to blows when a massive brawl broke out in the end zone.

The punches started flying after Steelers tight end Darnell blocked Washington Eagles cornerback Darius Slay all the way in the padding behind the uprights.

Furious on the block, Slay decided to hit back at the 6-foot-4, 264-pound Steelers star by swinging at him.

Slay’s punch landed squarely on Washington’s face before he took a few more swings at his opponent, reversing their positions and pushing him backwards into the barriers in front of the stands.

In an attempt to defend their teammate, Steelers players quickly swarmed around the duo before the Eagles quickly joined in, leading to a massive riot in the end zone.

Referees immediately intervened and eventually managed to separate the brawling NFL players.

After officials defused the situation, Steelers wideout was assessed an unnecessary roughness penalty for pushing Eagles rookie Cooper DeJean.

Pittsburgh was then assessed a 14-yard penalty, pushing them back inside the 20.

The drive, led by Russell Wilson, ultimately ended in a Chris Boswell field goal.

However, the Eagles shot ahead from there and went on to earn a 27-13 victory over Pittsburgh.

Jalen Hurts threw touchdown passes to AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith to shut down the Eagles’ offense, and Philadelphia won its franchise-record 10th straight game.
