Josh Allen sparks fears for Bills fans as he heads to X-ray room following win over Lions

Buffalo Bills fans had a brief moment of panic in the aftermath of their blowout victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, when quarterback Josh Allen had x-rays taken.

It’s unclear which part of Allen’s body needed to be examined, but the Bills quarterback felt the need to get himself checked out by medical personnel after taking a “funky fall,” according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

Fortunately for Bills fans, there was no cause for concern after the X-rays were taken and Allen has no broken bones.

After a week in which Allen dominated the Los Angeles Rams – but couldn’t get a win – he shined again for the Bills.

Allen completed 23 of 34 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns in the 48-42 win over Detroit in enemy territory.

He led not only with his arm, but also with his feet, rushing 11 times for 68 yards and two touchdowns.

Buffalo running back James Cook also scored two rushing touchdowns on 14 carries for 105 yards.

For Detroit, Jared Goff didn’t want to let Allen steal the spotlight. Goff completed 38 of 59 passes for 494 yards and a whopping five touchdowns.

According to CBS, Goff became the first player in NFL history to lose a game despite throwing for more than 400 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Detroit fans went home sad as their best 11-game winning streak came to an end. They will look to get back on track next Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

As for the AFC East champion Bills, they host the New England Patriots next week.
