Angelina Jolie opens up about feeling lonely and ‘in a strange way’ ahead of her bitter court battle with ex husband Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie has opened up about her loneliness ‘in a strange way’ ahead of her bitter court battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
The former A-List couple – who split eight years ago with Angelina accusing Brad of abuse – are in the middle of a bitter legal battle over their French vineyard.
But years after their messy split, Angelina, 49, made a candid confession about how she now spends most of her time alone.
Speak with The sun On Saturday, at a London hotel, Angelina revealed that the trait she shares with opera star Maria Callas – whom she portrays in the upcoming biopic Maria – was loneliness.
‘I have my children who I love, but as an adult I am often alone. I find myself identifying with the loneliness and loneliness that she has,” she said.
‘I also haven’t quite figured out how to live life in a way where I’m alone, maybe a lot of artists feel like we’re in an open space as a person.

Angelina recently scored a major legal victory against ex-husband Brad after a judge ruled that he had to hand over documents and communications that could prove he abused the actress and their children.
The ongoing dispute has led to the feuding exes attacking each other in legal filings since Pitt sued Jolie in 2022 for the sale of her stake in their Chateau Miraval estate, which produces an award-winning sparkling rosé.
Legal filings seen by DailyMail.com show the communications Pitt, 60, is ordered to produce begin the day Jolie claims he abused her on a private plane, shortly before their 2016 divorce.
She previously accused him of pouring red wine and beer on his ex and one of the couple’s children on a private plane.
Pitt has always denied any abuse and was cleared by police after an investigation – although his ex-wife claimed in the filings that his “history of physical abuse” began “well before” the plane incident.
Jolie, 49, asked the court to force her ex-husband to make something public between September 14, 2016 and December 31, 2018.
That includes emails, text messages and other written communications, but nothing between him and his lawyers or therapists.
Brad was recently ordered to turn over documents and communications that ex-wife Angelina said proved he wanted to cover up his domestic violence against her and their children. The actress is pictured on the right last month with 16-year-old Knox Jolie-Pitt
The Maleficent actress filed documents in July claiming the actor tried to force her to sign an $8.5 million non-disclosure agreement to cover up “years of abuse.”
At the same time, her legal team asked the court to force Pitt to disclose “third-party private communications” he had about their family’s 2016 plane trip, which led to Jolie filing for divorce.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lia Martin made the ruling last Monday after Jolie’s lawyers argued the documents would prove her claims. Pitt tried to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
She claims the gag order would have prevented her from speaking out about the alleged abuse, while she was set to sell her half of the winery to Pitt after a verbal agreement.
Jolie had accused her ex-husband of pouring red wine and beer on her and their children during an altercation on a private plane in 2016 – claims he denies
Jolie’s lawyers claim the documents will prove “abuse communications, lies to authorities and years of cover-up” on Pitt’s part.
Pitt’s legal team attempted to dismiss the motion, claiming the requests were “broad and intrusive.”
The actors’ lawyers also labeled the filing a “sensational fishing expedition,” with sources calling the latest statement “irrelevant” because the actor has already provided “so much information.”
Jolie’s attorney, Paul Murphy, described the documents as “crucial evidence” that Pitt “fought for years to hide.”
