Jeremy Clarkson has shared a photo of his dog covered in blood.

The TV presenter, 64, shared a disturbing image of his canine companion on social media on Sunday, appearing to mop up blood from the animal.

He wrote next to it: ‘The dog is leaking.’

Jeremy did not specify which of his dogs it was, but he is known to have two fox-red Labradors named Sansa and Arya – named after the Stark sisters in Game Of Thrones, as well as a black dog called Didier Dogba, named after the legendary footballer from Chelsea and Ivory Coast.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host did not elaborate on the alleged incident, but it sparked widespread concern among his followers.

One fan wrote: ‘Nooooo! I hope she’s doing well!’

A second echoed: ‘Ah no way, I hope she’s doing well’ and left a red heart emoji in support.

A third simply asked: ‘Why would the dog leak?’

The Clarkson’s Farm star opened his pub earlier this year and named it The Farmer’s Dog, and his puppies often appear in his hit Amazon TV series.

But earlier this year, Jeremy revealed his dog needed urgent medical attention, around the same time he was due to undergo his own heart surgery.

The former Top Gear presenter feared he was just ‘days away from death’ after a series of health problems led to his latest procedure.

The TV presenter complained of a ‘clammy feeling’, ‘tightness in the chest’ and ‘pins and needles in my left arm’, which led to him being admitted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Once there, he was fitted with a stent to keep his arteries open, improve blood flow to his heart and relieve his chest pain.

He admitted the procedure wasn’t “particularly painful” but said it did feel “strange.”

At the same time, he revealed his dog had also gone under the knife after suffering from pyometra, in what he called a ‘s**t week’.

The former Top Gear star posted on Instagram in October that his dog had also gone under the knife this week, with pyometra, in what he called a ‘s**t week’.

Pyometra is a potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus, causing it to fill with bacteria and pus.

Dogs with pyometra have vaginal discharge and may feel nauseated, have a poor appetite, lethargy, vomiting and sometimes increased thirst.

Jeremy said he started feeling unwell after swimming in the Indian Ocean while on holiday on a ‘small island’ and later found it difficult to walk up some stairs.

He returned to Britain and a ‘sudden decline began to accelerate’.

The recent tragic death of Alex Salmond from a massive heart attack had prompted the motoring journalist to visit his GP.

He was rushed to hospital by ambulance, where a heart attack was ruled out after undergoing an electrocardiogram (ECG), blood tests and X-rays.
