Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Channing Tatum braved the blustery and wet weather in Wrexham as they left a local pub together in Wales on Saturday.

The pair were spotted heading to the stadium for the Wrexham AFC vs Cambridge United match.

Wrexham AFC co-owner Ryan, 48, has become a well-known face in the town and often takes his famous friends to matches.

Wrexham has grown enormously since he and fellow actor Rob McElhenney completed their takeover in 2021.

At Saturday’s match, Ryan was present as Wrexham drew 2-2 with Cambridge United at The Racecourse in League One.

While out and about, Ryan wore a beige jacket and green sweater, while Channing, 44, kept a low profile in a denim jacket.

Wrexham Association Football Club, based in Wrexham, Wales, was founded in 1864, earning the distinction of being the oldest club in Wales, and the third-oldest professional football team in the world.

The club competes in the EFL League One, the third tier of the English football league system.

Reynolds and actor Rob bought Wrexham AFC in November 2020 through their RR McReynolds Company LLC.

The duo’s company would receive the support of 98.6 per cent of the 2,000 Wrexham Supporters Trust members who voted, completing the deal in February 2021.

It comes after Reynolds delighted punters by buying everyone a round at another local pub on Friday evening.

The Hollywood icon was joined again by Channing at the Fat Boar pub in Wrexham.

The actor joked: “I’ll buy a round for everyone here, which might bring in another hundred people at this point, but that’s fine.”

The star joked that the pub would ‘might bring in another hundred people’ after revealing he would pay for a round of drinks for everyone in attendance.

However, Reynolds was keen to emphasize that he could not stay long as he tried to make the most of his ‘night off’ away from his four young children.

He was later seen in a photo posted by the pub next to Tatum, who also starred in the recent hit film Deadpool and Wolverine.

The blockbuster film, which has grossed more than $1 billion since its release in July, also stars Wrexham striker Paul Mullin as Welshpool.
