Jennifer Lopez thanks her mother ‘for being there for me’ amid Ben Affleck divorce

Jennifer Lopez shared a sweet post thanking her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez “for always being there for me” on her 79th birthday.

On Friday, the 55-year-old singer took to Instagram to share four photos with her mother, whom she affectionately nicknamed “The Lupinator,” in honor of her birthday.

‘Congratulations mom!! I love you so much!! Thank you for always being there for me…,” she wrote in her caption alongside two white heart emojis and her mother’s nickname in a hashtag.

The cover photo in her post was a sweet selfie of the mother-daughter duo showing off their identical smiles.

The Atlas actress – who recently reunited with her estranged husband Ben Affleck to see their children from separate relationships perform in a play together – also added a photo of her mother looking beautiful even when caught in the middle of a conversation captured and with curls in her hair.

Lopez also posted a throwback photo of her and her mother from 2009, and they were seen sitting and posing together at a gala dinner.

Her post also included a more recent selfie her mother took of herself showing off her glamorous purple jewelry that matched her outfit and makeup.

The middle child of three siblings, Lopez grew up with sisters Leslie Ann Lopez, 57, and Lynda Lopez, 53, in the Bronx.

The three sisters were born to Rodriguez and David Lopez, who reportedly split in 1999 after 33 years of marriage.

Lopez previously said their mother was “a young mother” and had all three girls at the age of 25.

Affleck congratulated Fin, who he shares with Garner, and gave 16-year-old Emme, who Lopez shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, a sweet hug and a kiss on the head before saying goodbye.

During the exchange, an eyewitness revealed to DailyMail.com that Lopez “watched in admiration.”

Lopez and Affleck also shared a conversation as they mingled with other attendees.
