Boy, 16, ‘raped and tortured after being kidnapped and thrown into the cellar of a council house’: Youth, 14, and 44-year-old man arrested over violence likened to a ‘horror film’
A 16-year-old boy was allegedly raped and tortured after being kidnapped and thrown into the basement of a council building.
The teenager was reportedly held in a town hall in Quarto Oggiaro, a district in the northern Italian city of Milan, from December 9 to 10 after being kidnapped.
The boy, who reportedly has cognitive deficits, was raped and tortured in the basement of the house, the Italian newspaper said Corriere della Serra reports.
He was later found by police wandering the street half-naked and with visible injuries to his body, reportedly telling officers that he had been abused all night.
Deputy prosecutors Letizia Mannella and Ilaria Perinu said they believe the boy was tortured. They said that what the boy had allegedly experienced was some kind of “horror movie” and substituted for “human degradation.”
The 16-year-old gave them the Instagram account name of a 14-year-old boy allegedly involved in the attack, allowing investigators to track him and the other alleged perpetrator.
The 14-year-old boy and a 44-year-old man were arrested several hours after the alleged victim was found.
According to local media, police have found images of the alleged rape and torture on a mobile phone of one of the two suspects.

They have been charged with sexual violence, kidnapping, assault, production of child pornography and theft of the boy’s phone.
Investigators are reportedly trying to determine whether the boy was attacked at the 44-year-old’s or the 14-year-old’s apartments. The basement where the assault allegedly took place is located in the same council house as the man’s apartment.
It is unclear whether the two teenage boys knew each other before the attack.
The boy has been in hospital since the alleged attack and has yet to be questioned.
Residents of the Milan neighborhood where the boy was found reportedly tried to lynch the alleged perpetrators out of anger, local media reported.
The man and the boy will appear in court on Thursday.
