Coleen Rooney has an emotional reunion with her sons and admits ‘my boys have been proud of their dad for so long, it’s my turn now’ after losing out on I’m A Celebrity crown
Coleen Rooney had an emotional reunion with her sons after losing the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! crowned Danny Jones during Sunday night’s final.
The WAG, 38, who shares sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, with her husband Wayne, admitted it is now her turn to ‘make them proud’ after their father’s football career.
Reverend Richard Coles became the first to leave camp in the episode, leaving Coleen to face Danny Jones.
Speaking to Ant and Dec as they prepared to announce the winner, she said: ‘I played the role of mum there and kept myself busy.
‘It was hard not to keep myself busy. I was so bored there, I’m never bored because I don’t have time.
‘It’s time for me to think about me, my strengths and weaknesses. One morning I had some doubts, but I kept thinking: no, they want me to continue.’

She continued, “I learned that I can be patient. There have been times when no one annoyed me, but I wanted to step in and do it. So I think I’ll be a little more patient when I get out.
“It’s okay if things don’t get done. That’s the biggest thing I brought here.”
“One thing we were keen to hear is a glimpse into life with the Rooneys,” Dec said.
Coleen added: “Just being sober, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be in the final.
‘As a group we were all open and able to interact in different ways, which made me feel comfortable. And when I feel comfortable, I open up.”
Ant and Dec joked about Coleen’s detective skills and praised the star for how quickly she discovers things – following her infamous Wagatha Christie case with Rebekah Vardy.
Coleen joked: ‘I’m good at sniffing things out, but yes, I can also just weigh people up. I could see Dean, Maura’s acting was quite dramatic at that point, so I thought no, definitely not.
“The boys have been proud of their father for a long time, so now it’s my turn to be proud of their mother.”
