Tina Arena looks in excellent health as she returns to the stage after sharing details of the mystery illness that caused her 2023 tour to be cancelled

Tina Arena has made a triumphant return to the stage after an illness forced her to cancel her 2023 Love Saves World tour.

The Australian pop diva wowed the crowd at Melbourne’s Mornington Racecourse on Saturday and appeared to be in excellent health.

The 57-year-old put on an energetic performance as she rocked through her biggest chart hits.

Tina beamed and showed off her ageless face as she belted out tunes dressed in a loose 1960s dress.

She pulled her brunette locks away from her face, added a metallic hair accessory and added a vintage brooch to tie the look together.

The singer opted for a sleek makeup look with rosy cheeks and a rusty red lipstick and applied gemstones to her face.

Earlier this year, the pop star revealed the details of her battle against an illness that hampered her career.

In conversation with Yvie Jones on the Two girls, one capsule podcast, Tina explained that she cut her tour short last year after just two shows in Sydney and Perth because she was in “excruciating pain.”

“I’ll never forget it,” she said, admitting that she was rushed to the emergency room after the pain in her kidney became completely unbearable.

Doctors then discovered she had an infected kidney and Tina spent almost seven days in intensive care.

‘My kidney was about to explode because it was very seriously infected. I didn’t know how bad it actually was,” the singer said.

“I actually looked at them and I said, ‘I’m on my way, I have ten days to recover,'” Tina continued.

However, the doctors suggested that she should cancel the tour.

The Chains hitmaker announced the cancellation of the tour in October last year.

The canceled performances included a Gold Coast concert scheduled for October 12, a show in Melbourne on October 20 and the tour’s finale in Adelaide on October 21.

“For the first time ever, I have to postpone the rest of my Australian shows,” she explained on her Instagram Story at the time.

‘Believe me when I say: it was a difficult decision. But remember: health always comes first. So, to make sure it doesn’t happen again… here we are.

‘Save your tickets, more information will follow soon.

‘I wish you all the best and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.’

Tina posted a black and white photo of herself rehearsing with her band in a studio in the post.

Fans and followers were quick to support the singer, filling her message board with well wishes.

“Take care of your darling heart,” one friend wrote.

Comedian Julia Morris posted: ‘What a tough decision… but you’re right… without our health we’re crazy. I love you x.”

“You should never apologize for something you have no control over. Everyone understands. Health absolutely comes first. Sending lots of love,” another follower wrote.
