A leading Melbourne top model who partied with A-list celebrities ended up homeless and jailed after party drugs destroyed her life and led to her downfall.

Savannah McKay, 27, posed alongside Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter and Scream actress Samara Weaving in glossy photoshoots before her drug addiction derailed her career.

McKay drove a luxury Audi and lived in Prahran in Melbourne’s affluent south, while working for brands including The No Bra Club, Bettina and Bonds.

But her sudden fall from grace left her homeless and eventually in prison.

The former private schoolgirl ended up in Melbourne’s infamous Dame Phyllis Frost Center women’s prison after her party drug addiction took hold of her life.

McKay has previously admitted multiple drug possession offenses and was due to appear in court in Melbourne on Friday after being accused of stalking her ex-boyfriend.

McKay, who had stalking charges dropped at today’s hearing, was accused of ringing the doorbell at his apartment for three hours straight during a suspected months-long harassment campaign between November and December 2020.

She allegedly subjected her victim to a constant barrage of phone calls and created multiple Instagram accounts in an attempt to contact her ex.

McKay was also accused of it appeared uninvited at the man’s workplace ‘several times’ and also changed her ex-partner’s Bumble dating app profile.

The man reported McKay to police, who tracked down the model while she was working in Prahran and questioned her about the stalking and harassment allegations.

McKay, who refuted the struck stalking charge, allegedly told police she had an “on-again, off-again” relationship with the man but they broke up “three weeks earlier.”

“I can’t get into his building… I remember standing downstairs and yelling his name for maybe 20 minutes,” McKay allegedly told police.

McKay had previously avoided jail in September after pleading guilty to multiple counts of possessing drugs, including “baby heroin” during a criminal binge between November 2020 and June last year

The court heard she spent a total of 61 days in custody with Dame Phyllis Frost during her drug addiction.

McKay was arrested in possession of meth, cannabis, dexamphetamine, Valium, LSD and party drugs 1,4 butanediol and GHB and quetiapine – a schizophrenia drug known on the street as ‘Susie Q’ or ‘baby heroin’ – at locations across Melbourne.

McKay and another woman were found unconscious in a Bunnings car park, where police seized drugs from the model’s black Audi sedan.

McKay, who was also charged with careless driving after allegedly crashing into a Mitsubishi Magna while driving through Richmond in February 2022.

Police alleged McKay also hit several Yarra Tram signs, a council box and tram seats, but no one was injured.

She was taken to hospital and allegedly refused a blood test because she had a needle phobia.

The court heard McKay told police she “believed” she had hit an animal or that a rear tire had exploded, but police said there was no evidence to support her claims.

So far this year, she has failed to appear at multiple scheduled plea hearings, leading to the court issuing several warrants for her arrest.

McKay was given a 12-month court order for her drug offenses and will appear in court at a later date to answer the charges of careless driving.
