Paris Hilton reveals her son Phoenix’s first word and gushes over ‘life-changing’ motherhood
Paris Hilton opened up about how “life-changing” motherhood has been since she and husband Carter Reum welcomed their 22-month-old son Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum and one-year-old daughter London Marilyn Hilton-Reum.
“They’re just such little angels and they really changed my whole world and made me realize what’s most important in life,” the 43-year-old hotel heiress turned DJ said in her Glamour cover story Thursday.
“It’s love on another level that I didn’t know I could feel. I am so grateful for them every day. They are just so precious, smart and fun. They’re the cutest things on earth.’
Paris revealed that little Phoenix’s first word was ‘yas’, followed by ‘mama’.
“My son just said ‘Sanasa!’ learned,” Hilton said of the song she and Nicole Richie created on their early childhood show, The Simple Life.
“Phoenix and I are watching it, and he’s just laughing so hard. Every time I laugh, he looks at me and just laughs. He says, “Mommy, mommy.”

The troubled childhood friends famously launched their careers starring on their own FOX/E! Network reality series, which aired for five seasons from 2003 to 2007.
Paris and Lionel Richie’s 43-year-old nepo baby will star in a three-part reunion show Paris and Nicole: The Encore, premiering December 12 on Peacock.
“Going back to where it all started was really important,” Hilton noted.
“We’re going back to Arkansas, back to Altus, and visiting the family and the people we worked for. It was so special.’
Speaking of Peacock, the Without Love singer tried to change Phoenix’s diaper for the first time a month after his birth in an eyebrow-raising scene from her reality show Paris in Love last year.
Paris has repeatedly had to defend her parenting skills after being criticized for not putting a life jacket on her son, putting his life jacket on backwards and not properly strapping her children into the car seats.
The couple of three years welcomed both of their babies via a surrogate, and they employ a full-time nanny named Jean.
“Surrogacy was a difficult decision,” Hilton said of Paris in Love.

‘I would have loved that experience of growing the baby in your belly and feeling the kicks and all those exciting moments, but my life has just been so public. So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter’s, we decided to have a surrogate carry him.”
In 2021, VH1 alum Laura Bellizzi shared Secrets of Aspen Page six that the 43-year-old founder of M13 Ventures had only seen their 12-year-old daughter Evie once since she was born.
The 11:11 Media co-founder originally started dating Carter over Thanksgiving of 2020, but before that they had technically known each other for 15 years.
