Lala Kent defends whitening toddler daughter’s teeth in social media snaps

Lala Kent has confessed to editing her daughter’s discolored teeth in photos shared on social media.

Taking to Instagram Stories this weekend, the 34-year-old former Vanderpump Rules personality explained why she’s reviewing snapshots from Ocean, three.

She shared a close-up video of the smiling toddler and added a note that began: “I’m usually the type to not read/ignore comments. But we’re from Utah, honey. We are teeth people! so I couldn’t pass up this comment.’

Lala further revealed that Ocean had suffered a mouth injury, writing, “Ocean has a good relationship with her wild side and likes not to listen. She fell off her bike first.’

The mum-of-two, who is also mum to three-month-old daughter Sosa, added: ‘There is trauma to the root of her two front teeth.’

She wrote in parentheses, “Yes, I’m the mom who usually edits this. Go ahead and judge.”

Regarding the status of Ocean’s teeth, she noted, “The root is not dead, but we go to the dentist every three to six months for checkups. They will probably have to be pulled or she will have to have a root canal.’

And the TV star noted that Ocean thinks her teeth – which are a grayish-white color – are “cool.”

Lala did not specify exactly what comment prompted her to give the explanation to her 2.4 million followers.

She shares Ocean with ex-fiancée, disgraced filmmaker Randall Emmett. Sosa was conceived via a sperm donor and Lala gave birth on September 3.

In another recent post, podcaster Give Them Lala looked back on the month of November.

She uploaded a carousel of life stories and wrote: ‘November, you did not disappoint.’

She listed the highlights, starting with a milestone for her newborn daughter.

“Sosa had her first pool day,” she noted first.

Elsewhere in the post, she showed off her firstborn child’s hair twisted into a comb and said, “I almost had to give O a very unfortunate haircut.”

She continued, “We took pictures with Santa (this was a huge deal). It was my little turkey’s first Thanksgiving. I helped in the kitchen (this was also quite a job). My mother turned 64! Ocean wanted to celebrate by going to Moana 2. She LOVED it (Gigi too). We beat the month. It hit all the notes.”

It comes days after news broke that Bravo’s long-running series Vanderpump Rules will be getting an entirely new cast.

Lala shared her reaction in a heartfelt post shared to her social media as she reflected on her time on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff.

She wrote: ‘Where to start. I was a young girl from Salt Lake City coming to LA. I introduced myself as Lauren, but because my childhood best friend called me Lala, my nickname quickly stuck.

‘Sur was a place that became a home. I found myself there not only sipping vodka sodas, but also sitting behind a hostess stand… it’s still to this day the most intimidating job I’ve ever had. A short time later, I got the opportunity to be on a show called Vanderpump Rules. I have such mixed feelings right now.”

Kent revealed that she is ready for the next chapter of life as she continued, “It’s no secret that I don’t like change. This is the exception.

‘I want to thank you for working with us for so many years. This show changed my whole life. I am incredibly grateful for every moment. I am incredibly grateful to Bravo, NBCU, our crew, the entire cast, and most of all, to all of you. We rocked this bitch until the wheels fell off.”
