Internet sensation Paige Spiranac may fly Down Under later this month to add some glamor to Australia’s longest-running and most successful pro-am golf tournament.

Spiranac was named the Sexiest Woman Alive on Maxim’s Hot 100 list in 2022 and has become a social media sensation, with as many as four million followers on Instagram for her content, which often sees her wearing less than conventional outfits on the left.

She also recently launched her exclusive subscriber-only website OnlyPaige and has over 11 million followers across all her social media channels.

News Corp reports that the popular golf influencer has been invited to The Jack Newton Celebrity Classic, taking place in the Hunter Valley from December 16 to 18.

The tournament, affectionately known as ‘The Jack’, lasts three days and three nights and raises money for junior golf and diabetes research.

It is not known if Spiranac will be joining the likes of Wally Lewis, Wade Graham and Michael O’Connor this year, but she is enjoying surfing the links in Australia.

The 31-year-old turned heads at Royal Melbourne Golf Course in 2023, tweeting: ‘Royal Melbourne is a special place’ after visiting the world-famous greens.

Australian golf legend Steve Elkington spoke for many of her fans when he replied: “I’m not sure which is more photogenic… you or RM.”

Last year the American claimed that some of her outfits ‘really put people on the wrong track’.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, she explained why her background as a gymnast influences what she wears both on the golf course and in her everyday life.

“I was a gymnast before I switched to golf,” she said.

“I found it so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s exactly what you wear when you wear a leotard and compete in a competition.”

She added that she was “struggling a bit financially” and “didn’t have the luxury of going out and buying a whole new, golf-appropriate wardrobe.”

Instead, she says she wore what she already had: her workout clothes, and then learned how to play the sport.

But Spiranac was left baffled as to why other players didn’t wear their comfort clothes more often.

“That was always my mentality when I started playing golf, and it really rubs people the wrong way, which is shocking,” Spiranac added.

“They’ll have really intense discussions about whether they should wear shorts or pants, or a collar with a collar or a real collar, and I’m just here in tank tops or spandex and people are like, ‘What are you doing?’ “But I love it.”

While PGA Tour players are not allowed to wear shorts during competitive rounds, LIV Golf has taken the step of allowing its stars to wear shorts.

“We’re starting to see that change and fashion are a big part of the growth of the game and that it’s going in the right direction,” Spirinac said.

She told the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams that some people can often feel intimidated about golf because of its stuffy and often traditional values.

“I think a lot of people are afraid to get into the game of golf because it can be very stuffy and sometimes it’s not very welcoming.”

‘Because you’re so afraid of ‘what am I wearing, what am I doing, am I going to – you know – upset a country club member or all that stuff.’

In recent months, Spiranac has been linked to an appearance in Happy Gilmore Two, after Adam Sandler recently got the ball rolling on a sequel to his iconic 1996 film.

Travis Kelce has also promised a cameo role in the highly anticipated sequel.
