Sarah Ferguson takes grandsons August and Ernest to a festive market (and rides a giant rooster) – as she reveals how she’ll be ‘spoiling’ the royal children at Christmas
Sarah Ferguson has shared a sweet video of herself enjoying the festive countdown with Princess Eugenie and her grandchildren – as she reveals which treats they will be opening on the big day.
The Duchess of York, 65, took to TikTok this weekend where she shared a video of her in Windsor Great Park, lit up with her youngest daughter, Eugenie, and her two sons, August and Ernest.
Sarah – affectionately known as Fergie – shared the 10-second clip to her social media account, where she was seen enjoying a carousel ride on a ‘giant rooster’ and strolling through the beautiful festive lights while holding hands with each grandson.
In the video she said: ‘I’m in Windsor Park lit up and I’m with my grandchildren and my daughter and I’m having the best day. Saturday afternoon in the dark. And I’m sitting on a giant rooster.’
In the background, Eugenie appears to chuckle fondly as she watches her mother enjoy the festive ride.
Sarah looked ready to brave the cold in a cozy red fleece, gray gloves and a knee-length black puffer jacket to protect her from the winter air.
And it’s not just exciting days out that the Duchess’s grandchildren will be looking forward to this Christmas.
Yesterday Sarah revealed an insight into how she treats the grandchildren at Christmas – by spoiling them rotten with sweets and lots of treats.

The Duchess of York, 65, took to TikTok this weekend where she shared a video of her in Windsor Great Park on Saturday, lit up next to her youngest daughter, Eugenie, and her two sons, August and Ernest.
The Duchess is grandmother to Princess Beatrice’s children, daughter Sienna, three, and stepson Wolfie, eight, as well as Princess Eugenie’s sons August, three, and one-year-old Ernest.
Prepared for the season of pampering, Sarah said, “Grandmas exist to spoil their grandkids, don’t they? I will fill their stockings with sweets, toys and treats. “I think I’m just as excited as she is,” she said Hello!.
And stockings are prepared early. Sarah told the publication that it is an annual event and that she will always buy gifts in advance instead of panic buying right before the big day.
‘I plan a long way ahead. I spot things that I think people would like all year round and put them away. I also enjoy having special baubles made for everyone’s tree every year,” the loving grandmother said.
Since the Prince and Princess of Wales revealed their plans to spend the holidays in Norfolk, Sarah said she is also looking to relax and spend Christmas as usual with friends and family.
A keen humanitarian, Sarah is also committed to devoting part of the festive period to charities, including her efforts to support the Big Give, which aims to raise money to support people with cancer .
Sarah is also a patron of Prevent Breast Cancer, following her own experiences with the disease.
The mother-of-two became the first member of the royal family to join TikTok in October earlier this year – and marked the occasion with a moving video reflecting on her cancer journey.

Sarah, who currently lives at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Park, made her debut on the social media app earlier this year under the username sarahtheduchess.
It comes after the former wife of the Duke of York decided to kick up the festive mood by taking a trip to Vienna.
The royal took to TikTok once again, where she shared a clip of her preparing to leave the European nation without the company of her ex-husband of 30 years, Prince Andrew.
In a TikTok video from her departure to Heathrow, the Duchess of York told her followers: ‘It’s Monday and I’ve decided we need to get the Christmas spirit going.
‘Heathrow Airport on the way to Vienna. And what am I doing in Vienna? I’m going to the Christmas market.’ Trying to evoke some festive spirit, Fergie continued: “The airports are just so exciting. It’s a new adventure, a new day, a new journey. Let’s go’.
Sarah has been enjoying the start of the holidays and took a trip to Sydney, Australia last month, arriving for a book signing of her new novel, A Woman of Intrigue – an uplifting historical romance mystery.
Fergie’s ex-husband and the King’s brother are currently embroiled in an ongoing feud after older brother Charles cut Andrew’s financial lifeline.

The king last month stopped paying his disgraced brother’s £3million-a-year security bill at the 30-room Windsor Royal Lodge and urged him to move to more modest accommodations as part of an extraordinary quarrel called ‘the siege of the Royal Lodge’.
But Andrew has since been allowed to stay at the Windsor Great Park property after convincing Palace authorities he had secured enough money to cover his living expenses.
A mystery remains as to the exact source of Andrew’s funding, but it has been hushed up that Keeper of the Privy Purse Sir Michael Stevens has approved that the funding comes from legitimate sources.
