Helen Skelton jokes that she needs a nanny for herself and not her three children, after embracing the fun side of life since the age of 40.

The TV personality, 41, shares Ernie, eight, Louis, six, and two-year-old daughter Elsie, with ex-husband Richie Myler who she split from in April 2022 and shortly after the rugby league ace, 35, started a new to live. romance with Stephanie Thirkill.

The ex Strictly star told the story The sun: “I think we’re past calorie counting, aren’t we? It’s not fun. You get to the point where you think life is too short not to have fun.”

“I always say it’s not a child who needs a babysitter, I need a babysitter – to do all the boring stuff.”

Adding: ‘Having children is the ultimate ironman. It’s incredible, I think women need to hear that. I’ve done marathons, I’ve done ultramarathons, but the work is harder.’

Richie’s new arrival comes seven months after his divorce from the former Helen was finalized following their split two years ago.

The Morning Live presenter was married to Richie for eight years before announcing on Instagram that he had ‘left home’ just four months after the birth of their youngest child Elsie.

MailOnline understands that Richie and Stephanie welcomed son Freddie into their brood three months ago.

Stephanie updated her Instagram bio to read that she is the proud mother of children Olivia and Freddie.

She also includes Richie’s name, followed by a heart emoji and a dog, in tribute to the family pet, Ralph.

Indicating that she and Richie have made their relationship official, she has also changed her name to ‘Stephanie Emily Myler’.

Richie’s partner is the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill, the rugby club he played for from 2017 until last year.

In June, Helen moved out of the marital home she previously shared with Richie after selling the million-pound Yorkshire property.

She currently lives with her parents who help care for Helen’s children while she works, and devises her next long-term plan.

In her autobiography In My Stride, Helen recalls her 2022 break-up and how it blindsided her: ‘I was in shock. I know people often say after a divorce that they didn’t see it coming and it sounds like a cliché, but that was me.’

In 2022, Helen starred in Strictly Come Dancing, which she said helped her regain her confidence after her divorce.

Speaking about her time on the BBC show, she said: ‘I think everyone needs a little reminder at some point: ‘Actually you’re really good at this, here’s your invisible crown, put it on.’

‘I was like, ‘Okay, I’m barreling towards my 40s, I just had another kid. I’m on my own. I have moved my life; I moved my house.”

“I was on a bit of a sticky wicket, but the dancers are all like, ‘Oh my God, you’ve got three kids, that’s incredible.’ You bought a house, that’s incredible.”
