Two bodies are found inside home in Rye, Victoria with entire street taped off

A man and a woman have been shot dead at a home on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, while another man is on the run.
Police arrived at the house on Parson St, Rye, shortly after 4am on Monday. They were told that an altercation had occurred between a group of people in the building.
Inside they found a man and a woman who had both been shot. With the help of ambulance personnel, they tried to resuscitate them. Unfortunately, they died on the spot.
Police are now looking for a second man, who is believed to have fled.
They believe the group knew each other.
Detectives from the homicide unit are investigating. Officers have cordoned off the street, there are several police vehicles in the area.
