Every week on Polygon, we round up the hottest new releases in streaming and VOD, highlighting the biggest and best new movies for you to watch at home.

This week, Scarer 3the new supernatural horror slasher from director Damien Leone, arrives on VOD. That’s not the only thing new to rent and buy this week, like the administrative mystery thriller Conclave is also coming to VOD this week, along with the sci-fi horror film Height starring Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Brave New World), the stop-motion comedy Memoirs of a snailand the dystopian superhero film Watchmen Chapter II. There’s plenty more to watch on streaming, including Robot dreams on Hulu, the holiday rom-com Our little secret on Netflix, and much more!

Lohan plays Avery, a woman who is super excited to spend the holidays with her new boyfriend. But she realizes that her ex is also present, as he is dating her new boyfriend’s younger sister. They decide to pretend they don’t know each other, which seems to go as well as you’d expect. Cue the holiday hijinks!

Imagine if that movie was a horror thriller instead and you get the gist of it Scaredthe new film from director Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass, The Twilight Saga: New Moon) with John Cho and Katherine Waterston.

When a happy family decides to test out AIA (Havana Rose Liu), a commercial artificial intelligence designed to help them better organize their family life, they couldn’t be happier with the results. That is, until the AI begins to psychologically manipulate the family and harm those around it in its twisted desire to be part of the family.

The surprise entry in the Best Animated Feature category at this year’s Oscars is a bittersweet ode to old friends. Director Pablo Berger was so moved by Sara Varon’s graphic novel that he founded an animation studio to adapt it into a film. Completely without dialogue, it follows a lonely dog who befriends a robot, the blissful summer they share, and what happens after outside forces separate them. Robot dreams is beautifully animated and deeply evocative – and will have you sobbing the next time you hear Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘September’.
