Hugh Jackman admits acting like an ‘a**hole’ during The Boy from Oz as he reflects on the awkward incident with Sarah Jessica Parker: ‘I could see those boobs were about to come out’

Hugh Jackman has made it clear about the time he uncomfortably “roasted” Sarah Jessica Parker onstage, admitting he acted like an “a**hole.”
The Wolverine star, 54, happily invited famous audience members to join him onstage during the lead role in The Boy from Oz on Broadway from 2003 to 2004.
Jackman told Variety that while it was all meant to be fun, sometimes he got too excited and eventually started to wobble with feathers.

“I was an asshole sometimes. I raised Barbara Walters and Matt Damon and forced Matt Damon to give her a lap dance,” he said.
His antics came to a head in 2004 when he got the Sex and the City star, 57, to dance with him onstage and she nearly exposed herself to the audience.
“I really felt for her that night. As soon as she got on stage, I could tell those boobs were about to come out,” Jackman said.

Jackman’s run in The Boy from Oz, in which he played Australian singer Peter Allen, ended shortly after and he has since cut back on audience participation.
It comes after the X-Men star was revealed as Australia’s hottest celebrity, according to a poll of 5,000 people by marketing agency Talent Corp.
He defeated Chris Hemsworth and Nicole Kidman to take first place.
His antics came to a head in 2004 when he got Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker to dance with him on stage and she nearly exposed herself to the audience.
The New York-based actor had a +73 rating in the ‘Overall Talent’ category, indicating that the majority of respondents had a positive view of Jackman.
Jackman regularly tops the list of most loved Australians in public life, including in a 2019 poll by Bastion Collective.
Bastion Collective CEO Jack Watts said part of Hugh’s appeal was his “healthy” public image.
Hugh has been married to his wife Deborra-Lee Furness (right) since 1996
