Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson left fans in tears after he shared an emotional video with Make A Wish America, in which he flew children to Hawaii as special guests at the world premiere of Moana 2.

The actor, 52, who voices Maui in the franchise and plays the character in the live-action remake, also brought along his daughters Tiana, six, and Jasmine, eight, for the heartwarming day.

In the tear-jerking video, the actor and his children chatted with the youngsters and heard from their parents how special this day is for them.

The Rock handed out hugs and played games like rock paper scissors and arm wrestling with the kids as he introduced them to his daughters.

A parent of a 15-year-old named Patrick said enthusiastically, “I’m very happy that Patrick is getting this opportunity. It means a lot because at that time when he was going through a tough time, it was an inspiration that The Rock existed.

“I don’t know if it’s the strength and determination, and besides, he was humorous, and I think it was a good thing because he went through difficult things.”

Another parent added, “It’s great, it’s great that Make-A-Wish did this and that The Rock took the time to do it.

One child even made a handmade gift for the star, presenting him with a replica of his Moana character Maui’s hook, made from clay.

“I love this,” the actor said, “Do you mind if I wear it now? Thanks, dude.”

He then told another little girl, “I love your hair,” and asked his daughters, “Isn’t her hair cool?”

Meanwhile, the actor told another little boy, “You inspire everyone around you, including me.”

“Once again I had the honor of making @makeawishamerica’s wishes come true – and this time it was extra special because my two little tornadoes, Jazzy and Tia, wanted to join me in meeting these special kids.

“We flew these children and the families to Hawaii as my special guests for our MOANA 2 world premiere.”

He continued: ‘What a beautiful day to meet these children. Their strength and resilience inspires EVERYONE around them – including me.

Garcia – whose mother is Dany Garcia – has followed her father into the wrestling world as Ava Raine.

#MOANALiveAction is expected to premiere in theaters on July 10, 2026.

Thomas Kail will direct the live-action version and famed Broadway star Lin Manuel Miranda will score the film.

Kail is working from a screenplay by Jared Bush, who wrote the fully animated Moana (2016), which became a huge hit with fans, grossing $687.2 million while working on a budget of $150-175 million.

In Moana, the title character sets sail to find Maui to save her island from ecological disaster.

She convinces him to accompany her on her journey to recover his magical fishhook and recover the heart stone he stole from the goddess Te Fiti.

Moana is something of a passion project for The Rock, as according to IMDb he has Samoan citizenship due to his mother being Samoan.

“This story is my culture, and this story is emblematic of the grace and fighting power of our people. I wear this culture proudly on my skin and in my soul,” he said of Moana.

“There is no better world for us to honor our people’s story, our passion and our purpose than through the realm of music and dance, which is at the core of who we are as Polynesian people.”
