Fans across the EFL are furious after matches were canceled hours before kick-off due to Storm Bert.
The Met Office has issued snow, ice, wind and rain warnings across Britain and said the low-pressure system following a cold snap would be a ‘multi-hazard event’.
Fans across the country began their journey to stadiums as cancellation announcements were made.
Blackburn were scheduled to host Portsmouth at 3:00 PM, with Portsmouth supporters embarking on a 170-mile journey until the match was called off at 11:15 AM.
“Championship teams can’t hold up the pitches in the modern era??? Really deduct Blackburn points,” one fan raged at X.
Another Pompey fan said: ‘Shame on traveling fans. Why don’t you do this at 8/9 o’clock? Wouldn’t change in that short time.

A fourth Portsmouth fan added: ‘Traveled up yesterday. Costs of hotel room, fuel and ticket down the drain. Championship club by the way’.
The League Two match between Bradford and Accrington was the first game to be canceled on Saturday morning.
The pitch in Bradford was inspected at 10.30am before the match was officially called off just 20 minutes later.
Meanwhile, the League Two match between Fleetwood and MK Dons also fell victim to Storm Bertt.
Halifax Town vs Sutton United and Rochdale vs Oldham Athletic in the National League have also been canceled due to poor conditions.
