Joy Reid sends Thanksgiving warning to Trump voters in doomsday video message
MSNBC’s Joy Reid told Republicans their liberal friends and family have the right to be afraid in an end times warning on TikTok today.
Reid, 55, who recently left X following President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nomination of Elon Musk, isn’t finished explaining to GOP voters why she believes Democrats are right to fear the future.
She warned Trump voters that they had to accept being left out of family Thanksgiving plans and spoke of the likelihood that the country would collapse under the new administration.
‘He has assembled a cabinet of horrors! People are scared, they’re not just angry because they lost an election.
“I think this whole question about this anger, this question about people cutting off family members… you’re missing the point.
“Republicans control everything. People are afraid. I think you’re wondering why people don’t want to eat with you, or be in a group chat anymore, or not want to be your friend, or not want to hang out with you after I voted to tell them this doing. Possibly I think you’re missing the point.’
‘It is not about elections, but about whether this country has a future. People are right to be worried, they have a reason to be worried,” she said angrily.
She went on to explain that many blue voters are concerned about what Trump will implement if all three branches of government are Republican in January.

Many are concerned about Trump’s implementation of Project 2025, which particularly affects women by limiting access to abortion and making it harder to obtain contraceptives.
“You really cannot demand and expect that people who are terrified that Project 2025 will be fully implemented – including a national abortion ban, a woman will die of sepsis for no reason because she is pregnant and cannot get healthcare, that a conception will be made illegal , IVF is made illegal.
“All these things are on the table now, and he could do it all. And nothing will stop him,” Reid said in the video.
She also ridiculed Trump supporters for voting for him because he promised cheaper eggs and gasoline — warning that this “isn’t even going to happen because tariffs don’t lower the price of eggs, they raise the price of everything.”
“So if you get scammed by this person, who is clearly the biggest scammer in the history of the world, okay,” she said.
‘If you were to vote for that, people might not feel like they are safe with you. This is not crazy, these are legitimate fears for you and you may not be someone they can trust.”
“If you vote positively and cheerfully for this, people may not have that much confidence in you anymore, that’s real and you have to live with that a bit,” she continued.
“If you think you can vote for what they see as their destruction and then demand that they still be cool with you and celebrate Thanksgiving with you, then I think you’re kind of missing the point,” she added.
Reid said she fears the country is headed toward autocracy and fascism — types of government she said Americans have “legitimate” reasons to “fear.”

“You might want to take a step back and think about why people feel this way… If you’re sad that you’re losing friends over this, I don’t know what to tell you,” she told Republican voters. .
“America is changing its fundamental nature and that’s what you voted for.”
She went on to say that those who voted for Trump should be “proud” of their vote and the direction the nation is heading, rather than “panicking that people won’t validate you for that.”
“Stick to what you’ve been doing and keep moving,” she said.
“Everyone be safe out there because it’s going to be risky and tough.”
