WhatsApp is making a BIG change that will save users hours

We all have that one friend who insists on flooding our phones with three-minute voice notes.

But the days of pulling out your headphones to listen to these long messages are finally a thing of the past.

WhatsApp has launched an update, which means it will now transcribe your voice notes for you.

“There’s something special about hearing your loved one’s voice, even when you’re far away,” WhatsApp said.

“Even though sometimes you’re on the road, in a loud place, or you receive a long voice message that you just can’t stop and listen.

‘For those moments we would like to introduce transcriptions of voice messages.

‘Voice messages can be converted to text, so you can follow conversations no matter what you’re doing.’

Here’s how to try WhatsApp’s new voice message transcription tool.

WhatsApp has launched an update, which means it will now transcribe your voice notes for you

WhatsApp first launched voice messaging in 2013 and it quickly became one of the most popular tools.

The feature is designed to allow users to communicate directly with their contacts and provide important and time-sensitive information.

However, many users find it difficult to listen to voice messages, especially when they are at work or on the road.

To help you, WhatsApp has introduced the ability to create transcriptions of all voice messages you receive.

To get started, simply open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone and navigate to Settings.

Select ‘Chats’ and you should see a new ‘Voice Message Transcripts’ option.

Here you can easily enable or disable transcriptions and select your transcription language.

Once you enable this, you can do this transcribe a voice message by long pressing the message and tapping ‘transcribe’.

“We’re excited to build on this experience and make it even better and more seamless,” WhatsApp said.

As with all messages you send and receive on WhatsApp, your voice messages remain end-to-end encrypted.

“Transcriptions are generated on your device so that no one else, not even WhatsApp, can hear or read your private messages,” WhatsApp reassured.

Transcripts will be rolled out globally in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp says it plans to add more languages ”in the coming months.”
